Despite featuring regularly, Tanzania international Mbwana Samatta has now not been able to score in six consecutive First Division A matches as he continued to fire blanks in Genk’s 3-3 draw at KAS Eupen on Saturday.
The attacker, who now dons the number 10 jersey after switching from number 77 he had worn the past two seasons, lasted the whole game but could not register his fourth strike of the campaign as his side were held to a draw and continue to sit outside the championship play-offs spot as they are lying ninth.
The 24-year old last scored on the 13th of August in a 5-3 win against Antwerp where he netted a brace.
Ahead of the upcoming international break, Samatta will remain in Belgium as Taifa Stars are not fixtured.
Genk –after the international break- return to action with a tie against third-placed Royal Excel Mouscron on the 14th of October.
