The Tottenham forward scored twice on his World Cup debut in the Three Lions' 2-1 win over Tunisia

Harry Kane marked his World Cup debut with a stoppage-time winner as England overcame Tunisia 2-1 in their Group G opener on Tuesday.

It is not often that England start a World Cup on a positive note. The last time England won their World Cup opener was back in 2006 when they beat Paraguay. However, this time at Volgograd, England fans had a memorable night as the Three Lions reigned supreme, thanks to captain Kane's heroics.

The Spurs talisman had given England the lead in the first half when he slotted home after the Tunisian goalkeeper Farouk Ben Moustafa parried John Stones' goal-bound header. A controversial penalty appeared set to earn Tunisia a draw against England, but Kane headed home an injury-time winner much to the delight of the England fans.

Needless to say, they were in a boisterous mood after the game and were full of praises for their captain.
