Posta Rangers and Harambee  Stars’ goalkeeper, Patrick Matasi is on the line of joining the elite club of Kenyan goalkeepers to have played in European leagues.

The Posta Rangers custodian is set to attend trials in Turkey in the coming weeks after a great season last year.

Matasi had outstanding performance with the national team in the 2017 Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup where he only conceded two goals in a normal play in six games.

Matasi staged man of the match performance in the final against Zanzibar where he saved three penalties from the spot to hand Kenya her first title since 2013.

Should he succeed, Matasi will become the fourth Kenyan goalkeeper after Arnold Origi, Willis Ochieng and  Duncan Ochieng to have broken into the professional ranks in Europe.
