The new Bucs marksman has been accused of signing two contracts with different PSL clubs

Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Pitso Mosimane has confirmed that he was present when new Orlando Pirates striker Justin Shonga signed a pre-contract with the Tshwane giants and claims that he even took a picture with him.

The 20-year-old player joined the Buccaneers last week as a free agent after parting ways with Zambian side Nkwazi FC.

However, the Brazilians have since claimed that Shonga signed a pre-contract with them following the conclusion of the 2017 Cosafa Cup in July.

"There is a little bit of confusion there with Justin. Justin came to the club, we talked to him ," the former PSL Coach of the Year said.

The former Bafana Bafana head coach also revealed that there are legalities involved in the highly-rated forward's move.

"We will see how it goes going forward. There is a little bit of legalities, but I was there when we signed Justin," Mosimane added.

"The rest I will leave to the club to do what they have to do," the 53-year-old concluded.

Meanwhile, the Buccaneers have denied knowing anything about Sundowns’ claims, with administrative manager Flyod Mbele saying all they know is that Shonga belongs to them.

"I don’t know that he signed a pre-contract with Sundowns. What I know is that signed for Pirates and he is their player,” Mbele told Isolezwe.

Shonga’s agent, Michael Ngobeni, also dismissed the allegation. He said the player is happy at Pirates.

"The player is happy at Pirates. He’s got a contract with them [Pirates] and not anyone else. As we speak, he’s in camp with the Zambian national team. He is focused on doing well in the upcoming league games," said Ngobeni.

Shonga made his competitive debut when he was introduced in the second half Pirates' 2-2 draw with Polokwane City last weekend.
