Medeama striker Bernard Ofori and his coach Evans Adotey have been adjudged Ghana Premier League Player of the Month and Coach of the Month respectively for May.
The Tarkwa-based club put up an outstanding performance in the month under review, moving five places up to fourth position on the log.
With four goals in three matches, including a hat-trick on matchday 16 against Bolga All Stars in a 5-1 thumping and one man of the match accolade, Ofori closed the gap between on Nicholas Gyan, who tops the scorers chart and now trail him by a goal.
Ofori beats competitions from Liberty Professionals captain Samuel Sarfo and Aduana Stars midfielder Sam Adams to join Berekum Chelsea striker Stephen Sarfo, as the two players to pick the awards since it was reinstated by the premier league board.
Also, coach Adotey was picked over Great Olympics coach Tom Strand and Aduana's Yussif Abubakar since his side won all their three matches in May including one away game in Tamale against Bolga.
Medeama scored ten goals and conceded three in the process.
The two winners will be presented with their prizes on Sunday before kick off in the game between Elmina Sharks and Medeama.
