Nairobi Stima keep pace with KCB as KPL promotion hots up

The race for the second automatic slot for promotion to the Kenyan Premier League will go down to the fire as Nairobi Stima keep pace with second-placed KCB.

Already Western Stima have grabbed the first slot following a 1-0 win over Coast Stima on Friday in Kisumu.

Nairobi Stima, another potential candidate for promotion to the top tier labored for a 2-0 victory against Administration Police. If status quo in the top three is maintained for the next two games, then Nairobi Stima will have to battle for a place t the top tier in a playoff with the team that shall finish 16th in the KPL.

Nairobi Stima have opened a four points lead clear of fourth-placed Ushuru, who were held to a 1-1 draw by St Joseph Youth on Friday.

GFE 105 and Nakuru All-Stars, meanwhile, dipped further into relegation danger after losses to Modern Coast Rangers and FC Talanta respectively.
