Coach Samuel Boadu speaks on the Yellow and Mauves' good fortunes so far in the novelty league

Medeama coach Samuel Boadu says the Yellow and Mauves will not make the mistake of taking their foot off the pedal in the wake of their fine form in the Ghana Special Competition.

The Tarkwa-based side currently sit second in Zone A, having won four of six games played so far.

Just one point adrift of leaders Asante Kotoko, Medeama will snatch the first position and go two points clear should they win an outstanding fixture against Berekum Chelsea on Wednesday.

“We will keep working hard and stay grounded," Boadu said as reported by Footballmadeinghana.

“That will come from me and my backroom staff and we have a lot of experience in the dressing room.

“There’s still a long way to go. There are seven more matches to be played and so we can’t get complacent.

“We will look to keep the momentum going into the outstanding fixture against Berekum Chelsea on Wednesday."

On Sunday, Medeama fended off a strong challenge from third-placed Aduana Stars  when they came face-to-face in Tarkwa. The game ended 1-0 thanks to a Samuel Appiah goal.
