Gor Mahia left it late to score two goals against a ten-man Hussein Dey in a Caf Confederation Cup Group D match played on Sunday.
The Kenyan champions are now top of the Group after goals from Francis Kahata and Jaqcues Tuyisenge helped them to break down the resilient Algerian side, who came into the fixture sitting at the summit.
With Zamalek of Egypt dropping points again after a 1-1 draw against Petro Atletico of Angola, many Kenyans now believe that K’Ogalo have a chance to make it to the quarters of the competition for the first time in club’s history.
Sample some of the comments from Kenyans in social media after the match.
Two late goals gives Gor Mahia the much deserved three points. The time wasting tactics of NA Hussein did not bear fruits. pic.twitter.com/4LlcF6ieoW— Melchizedek Ouma (@MelchizedekOuma) February 24, 2019
