City make striker promise to Pep
City pull out of Alexis deal
Manchester City have pulled the plug on their pursuit of Alexis Sanchez, leaving rivals Manchester United with a clear run at tying up a shock deal for the Arsenal man in the coming days.
City made it clear on Friday that they would walk away from the deal if the total price of a January move did not suit them, and that is exactly what has happened.
Wenger expects Alexis resolution within 48 hours
Arsene Wenger expects Alexis Sanchez's future to be resolved within the next 48 hours.
The Chile international is wanted by both Manchester City and Manchester United, but a bid has yet to be officially accepted by the Gunners.
Speaking after Arsenal lost 2-1 at Bournemouth on Sunday, Wenger said: "It will be decided in the next 48 hours. It was difficult for him because he was on standby a little bit."
De Bruyne drops future hint
Kevin De Bruyne has hinted that he will be signing a new contract at Manchester City, stating that he has “no feeling to go anywhere else”.
The Belgium international remains locked in talks with the Premier League leaders, but could be close to putting pen to paper.
