Swedish giants Malmo FF have agreed to a reported two-year deal worth $1.5 million with Sirius IF for Ghanaian midfielder Kingsley Sarfo.
The 21-year-old, who began his career in Kumasi at Anokye Stars, was recently linked to Manchester City after an impressive debut campaign in the Swedish top-flight but Malmo have been swift with their bid, offering Sirius 30 per cent of his onward transfer proceedings.
He is expected to undergo a medical on Thursday before the official announcement of the deal.
"I will do a medical examination on Thursday. My agent told me that Sirius have accepted an offer from Malmo FF," Sarfo was quoted as saying by Ghanasoccernet.
"On the part of Sirius, this will be the best deal although we will not get a lot of money but it feels good. This is best for my football development. It is the best place to be for me. It feels great," he added.
Sarfo was handed a debut Ghana call-up by coach Kwesi Appiah ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Ethiopia but the midfielder turned down the opportunity amid reports of a switch of allegiance in favour of Sweden.
