Lyle Foster confident Orlando Pirates will start strong in 2018

Bucs ended the year with a loss to Ea Lla Koto, but are determined to restart strong this week

Orlando Pirates teen sensation Lyle Foster is adamant they will restart their campaign strongly when they welcome the title-chasing Baroka FC next weekend.

"We are determined to start strong so that we can finish the season on a good note. It is going to be a very tough half but we are hopeful that we will do well," Foster told The Citizen.

Following their 2-1 loss to Free State Stars, Bucs ended the year seventh with 19 points after 15 games played.

They have blown hot and cold the whole season, with their lacklustre displays in front of goal their Achilles heel.

The 17-year-old is happy to be getting to grisps in his first campaign following his promotion from development at the start of the season.

They are one of a few teams that reported back for training this week, much to the delight of the diminutive Johannesburg-born.

"We have started training and we training twice a day," Foster said.
