The Senegal international suffered a 'fresh problem' and he is in a race against time to be fit for Sunday's crucial game

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed concerns about Sadio Mane's fitness ahead of their crunch encounter with Brighton and Hove Albion in Sunday’s English Premier League tie.

Last Weekend, the 26-year-old winger suffered a knock in their 1-0 defeat to Chelsea and has missed several training sessions this week.

The Anfied giants need at least a draw against the Seagulls to seal a top-four finish and Champions League place next season and might miss the services of the forward who has notched 19 goals this season across all competitions.

Asked about Mane's chances of featuring against Chris Hughton's side, Klopp said: "We will see.

"It is not the same injury. It's a fresh problem."

Mane has forged a productive partnership with Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino in the attack of the Reds this season and has made 39 appearances in all competitions.

Should he miss the tie with Brighton, he will be looking to return for their Champions League final with Real Madrid on May 26.
