The right-back assesses his performance for The Canaries so far this term

French-born of Ghanaian descent Enock Kwateng has expressed satisfaction over his performance so far this season for Ligue 1 side Nantes.

The full-back has benefitted from concerns regarding the fitness of first-choice Fabio to stage a fight to be handed the position on permanent basis.

The 21-year-old has so far made 10 league appearances involving nine starts for the Canaries.

"I've been quite satisfied since the beginning of the season," Kwateng said at a press conference on Friday ahead of Sunday's league clash with Guingamp.

"I've had more playing time and I can only be happy.

"There have been ups and downs in my performances.

"I have been gaining momentum as I play. I'll try to improve my game."

Following a poor start to the season, which led to the appointment of Serbian coach Vahid Halilhodzic last month, Nantes have been showing some improvement, having won their last three games in all competitions.

"Vahid Halilhodzic is demanding and requires a lot of work. The team needs a coach like him," Kwateng said.

"We're going to make a lot of progress.

"He only wants to win and he has brought us that culture. Today, the team is together and fine."

Born to Ghanaian parents in Mantes-la-Jolie in France, the right-back currently plays for his country of birth at youth level.

He, however, remains eligible to play for Ghana's senior national team.
