AFC Leopards are close to securing the services of former Rayon Sports custodian Eric Ndayishimiye, Goal can reveal.

Ingwe struggled to find a dependable custodian last season, prompting the club to rely on the inexperienced Ezekiel Owade. Following Gabriel Andika's exit from the Den, Ingwe has been left with Jairus Adira and Owade, and the two cannot fire the club to the title.

Contact has already been made by Ingwe officials and a source has intimated to Goal that if all goes well then an official announcement is imminent. “We are close to signing Bakame (Ndayishimiye), he is a good goalkeeper, who can help us do well in the league.

“We need someone with experience and mature enough to win us the matches and we believe this man can help us do that.”

Ndayishimiye was the captain for Rayon Sports until June this year when he was dismissed for reported disciplinary issues.
