Just six months after being sacked by Perth Glory, Kenny Lowe has now joined the Socceroos as an assistant to Graham Arnold for November.

The 57-year-old will support Arnold alongside Rene Meulensteen with friendlies against Korea Republic and Lebanon to come this month.

Lowe spent five years in charge of Glory having first joined the club in 2007 as an assistant and it's unclear whether he'll continue on in his current role working with their youth team.

Elsewhere, former Wimbledon keeper Hans Segers has assumed the role of head goalkeeper coach for the Socceroos until the end of the Asian Cup, while Ante Milicic is now the team's chief scout.

Luke Casserly, Head of National Teams for Football Federation Australia, praised both appointments ahead of a busy period for the Socceroos.

“We are pleased to have added the knowledge and expertise of Kenny Lowe and Hans Segers to our coaching staff," Casserly said.

"Kenny and Hans both bring a wealth of experience to the Socceroos and we are sure that they will make great contributions to the team."

November looms as a crucial preparation period for Australia ahead of their Asian Cup defence in January.
