'I taught him well!' - Huth hits out Fellaini over Guendouzi hair pull

Marouane Fellaini again hit the headlines on Wednesday evening after pulling the hair of Arsenal's Matteo Guendouzi, and it did not go unnoticed by one of the Manchester United star's old adversaries.

Fellaini, who recently shocked the football world by having his trademark afro cut, was spotted yanking Guendouzi back via the French youngster's own curly locks in the closing stages of the 2-2 draw between the Premier League giants at Old Trafford.

Unsurprisingly the clip went viral given Fellaini's own hairdo history, but one interested observer pointed out that it was rather hypocritical for the Belgium international to use such an underhand tactic.

Robert Huth - who won the Premier League title with both Chelsea and Leicester City - picked up a three-match ban for violent conduct in May 2016 when he was caught pulling Fellaini's own hair during a clash with the Red Devils.

Huth, at the time playing for Leicester City, argued that the suspension was "excessive", particularly given Fellaini picked up an identical punishment for his part after it was spotted that he had elbowed the German centre-back as they contested a ball from a set-piece.

The whole event went down in infamy after Man Utd manager Louis van Gaal described it as something rather more fruity.

"It's not in the books that someone has to grab by the hair and then pull it behind - only in sex masochism!" he told reporters in his post-match interview.

Huth certainly remembered the incident, and took to Twitter to respond to Fellaini's latest indiscretion when trying to rob the ball from Guendouzi.

"Looks like I taught him well... #playon," he wrote on social media on Thursday morning.

Given Huth's previous punishment there is a chance that Fellaini could be facing another retrospective ban if the Football Association deem his actions to come under the violent conduct umbrella.

He could, then, be forced to watch United's clash with Fulham on Saturday from the sidelines as Jose Mourinho's team look to end a run of four league games without a win.
