A fit Gor Mahia are ready to take on Ulinzi Stars in a rescheduled Kenyan Premier League match on Saturday.

The league leaders will be looking to stretch their lead to 43 points by harvesting maximum pints’ at the Afraha Stadium.

But Gor Mahia coach Dylan Kerr is clearly aware of the job that awaits them in Nakuru as they face Ulinzi side that are seven places and 10 points behind them on the log.

“It is not going to be an easy match. Ulinzi is a very fit and tough side-we have to be ready and psychologically ready to face them.

"We’ve had very good training in the last two days and everybody is in good condition ahead of the match. I have no injury concerns and we are looking forward to the match,” Kerr told KPL website.

Going into this match, Gor Mahia has won four of its last five matches and drew one while their hosts have just one win to show for themselves having lost and drew twice in their last five outing.

The defending champions also boast of a better record against the Soldiers having won eight of the last 16 meetings; losing four and draw four times in the process.

Kerr, however, believes recent form will count for nothing when they face the Soldiers.

“Every team wants to be the first team to beat Gor Mahia and we, therefore, have to be very professional in our approach to any match we play. I have urged my players to play to the best of their capabilities and I am sure we will get a positive result.”

This will be the only match this weekend and it will be live on K24 and KPL Facebook Page from 3 PM.
