Levante striker Emmanuel Boateng is looking forward to greater things after breaking his goal duck in the Spanish La Liga this season.

On his 10 league appearance of the campaign, the Ghanaian emerged hero for The Frogs with a second half equaliser which forced a 2-2 draw away at Huesca on Saturday.

He netted just four minutes after coming on as a substitute.

"I'm very happy. It has always been my prayers to score," Boateng said in a Levante video on Wednesday.

"I scored my first goal last weekend and I'm very excited.

"I think we're going to do a lot this year."

After putting the ball at the back of the net, Boateng received a momentary scare when the goal was ruled out for offside. Video review, however, reinstated the strike.

"The moment of the goal was a bit crazy because after scoring they all thought it was cancelled," narrated the 22-year-old.

"The referee validated it and I was very happy."

The striker also spoke about his side, who impressively sit ninth on the league table.
