The Phobians succumbed to the Academy Boys in Sogakope for the second successive time as they lost in the novelty league on Sunday

Hearts of Oak's famous Special Competition Zone B Matchday Six fixture against Wafa lived up to the hype.

The fixture did not just produce a great game but five amazing goals too. In the end, it was the Academy Boys, who emerged victorious. But unlike the last campaign where they registered a 5-0 win, this time we were entertained with a 3-2 scoreline.

Haruna Jamal, Daniel Lomotey and Bortey Acquaye scored to send the home side to the top of the table while the visitors' consolations came from Fatawu Mohammed and Christopher Bonney (penalty).

Elsewhere in Zone B, visitors Ebusua Dwarfs stunned Inter Allies 1-0 in Tema to pick their first win of the novelty league. Isaac Donkor's 33rd-minute strike was the separating factor.

At the Dansoman Carl Reindorf Park, Simon Zibo netted to ensure a 1-0 home victory for the now-second-placed Liberty Professionals over sixth-positioned Dreams FC.

Karela United have lost the top spot to Wafa following a 2-0 defeat to Elmina Sharks. Goals from George Amonoo and Benjamin Tweneboah fetched all points for the Nduom Boys, who have moved two places up to third on the log. Karela have dropped to fourth on the table.

In Zone A Asante Kotoko still held on to the top spot despite their inactivity on the matchday due to the postponement of their fixture against Stallions FC (formerly Wa All Stars).

The Porcupines' maintained their reign due to setbacks on the path of Ashanti Gold and Aduana Stars who occupied the second and third spots going into the matchday respectively.
