Francis Uzoho has slammed a journalist who mocked him after conceding five goals in Elche’s 5-1 loss Cadiz on Sunday.
Rober Correa started the comeback for Cadiz in the 50th minute by canceling out Sory Kaba's opener for Elche at the Estadio Ramon de Carranza.
Goals from Dejan Lekic, Jose Mari, Salvi, Manu Vallejo within 25 minutes wrecked Pacheta's men and left them in the 14th spot in the Segunda Division table.
Prior to the game, Uzoho has kept two successive clean sheets [vs. Malaga and Real Zaragoza] but the journalist took to Twitter to question his abilities describing the goalkeeper’s showing as a concern for the Super Eagles.
FT: Cadiz 5-1 Elche
I can understand a goalkeeper conceding 5 goals in a match, it happens to top goalies. But, when our @NGSuperEagles NATIONAL GOALKEEPER, @Uzohof gets beaten 5 times in a match in Spain's LOWER LEAGUE, then I believe it is a cause for concern. — ken Ochonogor (@kenochonogor) November 4, 2018
In his reaction, the 19-year-old shot-stopper expressed displeasure with the comment and queried his knowledge about football.
No you don’t understand anything about football sir.your profile states something like sports consultant but i seriously doubt that.
You tagged me so i can be drawn to respond, fine here I have , hope you feel like a celebrity now — Uzoho Francis (@Uzohof) November 4, 2018
After the game, Elche disclosed that Uzoho who has been invited for Nigeria's international assignment this month suffered a concussion.
The update comes as a concern for Gernot Rohr ahead of Nigeria’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against South Africa on November 17.
