Fantasy Football: Gabbiadini and other sneaky Saturday strikers

There are not that many match weeks left so it’s important to get the most out of every move from here until the end of the season.

This week offers an interesting opportunity in that regard as none of the top six teams play on Saturday. This makes this weekend it the perfect place to make up ground on teams ahead of you in weekly and/or monthly contests. The best way to do that is by focusing on players with low ownership and high upside.

Below are three such strikers who you would do well to consider bringing in for match week 35.

Manolo Gabbiadini (Forward, Southampton, Price: 6.5, Ownership: 0.64%)

Gabbiadini is finally back from injury and already put in a decent performance against Chelsea. Let’s not forget that this is the same Southampton striker who managed four goals in his first three starts in the Premier League.

Not only is he a great long term option with two double game weeks on the horizon, but he’s a terrific play this week as well when he faces Hull’s league worst away defence.

Christian Benteke (Forward, Crystal Palace, Price: 7.4, Ownership: 5.4%)

No player has more goals over the last five match week’s than Benteke’s five. He is somehow outside of the top ten in price among forward despite seventh in points on the season and first over the past five matches. The matchup against Burnley’s bottom five away defence should prove little resistance for the big Belgian.

Joshua King (Forward, Bournemouth, Price: 7.3, Ownership: 1.35%)

The Norwegian striker has been an absolute revelation with more than double his career high in goals with 14. His eight goals in the last 10 matches leads the league and he will not face a top 10 defence for the rest of the season.

King’s 61% shot accuracy is still top five for players with 50 or more shots and at just 1.35% owned may well be the best differential in the Goal game.
