Immediate former Mathare United striker Obadiah Ndege is in talks with Kenyan Premier League newbies Nakumatt.
The forward, who was very instrumental for the 'Slum Boys' last season, parted ways with the Francis Kimanzi coached side in January.
A day after the announcement, Nakumatt Secretary Albert Wesonga has told Goal that they are at advanced stage with the talks explaining that the player is soon becoming their member. “Yes, we are keen on improving our squad for league action and Obadiah Ndege is on our radar. In fact, we have initiated talks and will soon announce him as our player if all goes well.”
Mathare United have lost key players in the transfer window with notable names being Robinson Kamura, Whyvonne Isuza (both have joined AFC Leopards) and keeper Robert Mboya, who is reportedly heading to KPL newbies Kariobangi Sharks.
