Esperance star striker Anice Badri has predicted a tough encounter when they clash with Al-Ahly in Friday’s Caf Champions League final, first leg in Alexandria.

With seven goals this season, Badri has successfully executed his scoring duties for the Tunisians and is expected to continue with his fine form on Friday.

But the striker feels it will not be an easy outing at the Borg El-Arab Stadium on Friday.

"The game against Ahly will be a complicated match, but we have achieved a positive result that will help us in winning the title during the second leg in Tunisia; we are optimistic ahead of the game," Badri was quoted as saying by Al-Ahram.

"We all know the first leg game in Egypt will be difficult, but we have to know how to play against a tough opponent that played in the tournament's final last year.

"Our main target this season is to win the Caf Champions League final as well as participate in the Clubs' World Cup in the United Arab Emirates.

"I think I am like all my teammates, we didn't participate in the Clubs' World Cup and it will be a good chance to represent Tunisia and Africa in the international event in UAE."

It is the second time for the two sides to meet in the Caf Champions League final after Al-Ahly edged Esperance 3-2 to win the 2012 title.

Interestingly this season, the two sides emerged from the same group which Al-Ahly topped, while Esperance finished in second place. The first leg in Alexandria, which was the group opening match, ended goalless in May.

Al-Ahly then showed some grit to beat Esperance 1-0 away in the return leg two months ago with Walid Azarou grabbing the all-important goal.

Esperance forward Haythem Jouini who was one of the stars key in eliminating Primiero Agosto in the semifinal, second leg is doubtful for Friday’s match together with left-back Ayman Ben Mohamed.
