Enyimba will not get carried following their 1-0 defeat of Lobi Stars in Wednesday’s rescheduled Nigeria Professional Football League clash.
Abdulrahman Bashir’s 51st minute effort handed the seven-time Nigerian champions a hard-earned victory over the league leaders to end their two-game losing streak.
But Abdallah – who is the club’s assistant handler is quick to point out that the Aba giants are targeting six more points before the World Cup break.
“We are all satisfied, even though we had expected victory. We are all happy,” he told NPFL website.
“At least, it will help us to catch up because we have a lot of teams to catch up (with). We also dropped lots of points at home, so we can’t afford to drop any more point, before the break.
“We had a target of nine points before the break from our three games, we have gotten three; (there are) six more remaining (against Katsina United and Heartland).
“We won’t allow the victory over the league leaders occupy us. We have a lot of work to do. We will keep going this way, hopefully we will catch up with them.”
They host Katsina United on Sunday in Calabar before taking on Heartland at the Dan Anyiam Stadium.
