Ibrahim has featured in all the matches played by the Flying Antelopes in the second-tier club competition, but he won’t be available when they face the Burkinabe side this weekend in a win or burst tie after he got his second yellow card of the campaign in their 2-0 home loss to Etoile du Sahel.
However, the former Sunshine Stars and Shooting Stars attacker opined that he is confident that his teammates would get the job done without him.
“It is unfortunate that I won’t be able to face Salitas in Ouagadougou this weekend because of the yellow card I collected in our last game,” Ibrahim told Goal.
“It was a crucial tackle that I had to make and I don’t have any regret that I made the tackle at all. I needed to sacrifice myself for the good of the team and I am sure that my teammates will cope without me.
"This game is very important to our further progress in the competition and we must go into the tie with optimism that we can get the job done even in Burkina Faso.
“It was a tough first leg when we hosted them in Enugu and we envisaged a similar situation in Ouagadougou. We must be prepared for their antics and be ready to play good football. The result we had against Etoile du Sahel was highly unexpected and we must do something to fashion out a winning formula in Burkina Faso.”
Ibrahim has scored one goal in the Caf Confederation Cup with some assists also in all the games he has played for the 2018 Federation Cup champions.
