The Mysterious Club's coach has played down suggestions that he wants to punish his former side when they meet on Wednesday

Ebusua Dwarfs coach Bashir Hayford says they will put up a decent performance against Asante Kotoko in matchday six of Ghana Premier League on Wednesday.

The outspoken coach is making a return to Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi for the first time in two seasons following his controversial dismissal in the 2007-08 season after guiding the Porcupine Warriors to clinch the title.

"We'll give Kotoko a good match and hope for the best. This game isn't solely about me and so I don't see any kind of revenge. I don't have anything against them no matter what others think," Hayford told Agyenkwa FM .

"We have had series of poor results this season and I hope to see the team recover on time in order to avoid any form of uneasiness at a point.

"We've worked hard on the mistakes we did in the previous game and I believe the players won't repeat them," he added.

Kotoko, who come into the game on the back of a 2-0 defeat to regional rivals Ashanti Gold, are placed sixth on the log with seven points, while Dwarfs are five places below with five points.
