Cape Town City ready to break the bank for Percy Tau and Siphiwe Tshabalala

Comitis has identified Tau and Shabba as his two targets for the new season, but whether or not their teams will agree to the deal remains to be seen

Cape Town City boss John Comitis has indicated that he will do everything in his power to sign Mamelodi Sundowns attacker Percy Tau as well as Kaizer Chiefs veteran midfielder Siphiwe Tshabalala in the upcoming season.

Comitis revealed that he will start negotiating with the two teams at the end of the current campaign, saying he wants to strengthen his team with quality players.

“I want to grow my team [with quality players]. I need Tau and Tshabalala to do that, and even if I have to break the bank, I have no problem with that. I will start negotiating with their teams at the end of the season,” Comitis was quoted as saying by Isolezwe

Tau has been an integral member of the Tshwane giants over the last two seasons, while Shabba has rediscovered his old form under Steve Komphela.

With Sundowns reportedly interested in City's captain Lebogang Manyama ahead of next season, they may well be prepared to part ways with their young attacker.

City will however, have to dig deeper into their own pockets to land Shabba, who is still contracted to Amakhosi until June 2018.

Shabba has been with the Glamour Boys for a decade, and he's considered one of the club's ultimate legends with over 300 appearances under his belt.
