Ghana goalkeeper Razak Brimah wants to use his time at new club Mamelodi Sundowns to prove his quality.

The shot-stopper completed a move to the South African topflight on Tuesday, signing a five-year deal as a free agent.

He last played for Spanish second tier club Cordoba where limited playing opportunities thwarted his development.

“I am proud to have joined the African champions, and look forward to being part of the team that defends the title,” Brimah told his club’s official website.

“I know that Sundowns is a team that wants to win trophies, and I hope to be able to help the team achieve this.

“I am here to bring my experience, and look forward to showing the coach what I am capable of, and that I am good enough to be here.

“I need to convince the coach that I am good and he will decide who to field.”

Sundowns are set to hand Brimah his first experience of elite division football.

Cordoba aside, the 30-year-old had stints with Mirandes, Guadalajara, Tenerife, Real Betis and Poli Ejido who all played in the Spanish lower leagues.

He also spent time with Portuguese lower tier sides Uniao Madeira and G.D Chaves.

Until recently, he was Ghana's first choice goalkeeper, having held the role between the 2015 and 2017 Africa Cup of Nations tournaments.
