The Chelsea loanee believes his former club have the quality to clinch the top-flight following an incredible start to the season

Ghana defender Baba Abdul Rahman has tipped former club Dreams FC to win the 2017-18 Ghana Premier League after completing the first round in the top half of the log.

The 23-year-old, who captained the Dawu-based club while in the second-tier before joining German side Greuther Furth in 2012, believes the Ghanaian team have the players to make history this time.

“The team is on a good footing. They were not the best in their last game but Dreams is Dreams and they will bounce back. They are not far from the top and I hope and pray that they can be the winners [of the league] at the end,” Rahman told the club's website.

“I was really happy but not surprised that Dreams FC qualified because they have a good management who are always bringing in quality players.

“In my generation, although, we had some top talents, I think this generation is the best so far because they were able to qualify the team from Division One to the Premier League. My generation couldn’t do it as our best was to get to the play-offs.

“The management is like a family. They share ideas a lot and you see them always happy when they are around each other. I think that is the reason they are doing a great job. If one brings something they discuss it to bring the best out of it. The togetherness is what is taking the high,” he added.

Dreams sit sixth on the log with 24 points, three points behind leaders Medeama.
