Newly signed Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Aubrey Ngoma has hailed coach Pitso Mosimane for instilling winning mentality to the squad.
Ngoma, who is included in a 25-man squad that will represent the Brazilians in this year's edition of the Caf Champions League said they have learned to play to win every game under the 53-year-old former Bafana Bafana.
“As players we want to win any competition we take part in,” Ngoma told the media.
“So, far so good. It’s been a good start for me. It’s good to be working with someone who’s got a winning mentality and who wants to win every game that his playing. He instills that in his players. You could see that every game that Sundowns is playing, he’s playing to win it," he said.
The Brazilians are not in action this weekend, but they will face Free State Stars in their next league game on Wednesday, and Ngoma feels privileged to be part of the team that is doing exceptionally well.
“I found them at number one spot. So, it means the team was doing well,” said Ngoma.
“For me, it’s getting down to business and working hard at training. There’s a lot of games coming up, different competitions; somewhere I’ll get my chance. It's getting down to business and whenever the chance comes, I’ll take it with both hands," he explained.
The former Orlando Pirates winger said Sundowns are now focusing on maintaining their lead at the top of the log, especially because they will be facing a Ea Lla Koto side that a few points behind them on the PSL log.
“Right now our focus is on the league. You can never underestimate what they [Free State Stars] have done this season. [They are] picking up at the right time. It’s a team that is on form (Free State Stars). We have to make sure we prepare very well and we approach the game with the good frame of mind," added Ngoma.
