Aduana Stars have confirmed the signing of midfielder Gockel Ahortor in a three-year deal from Inter Allies ahead of the 2017-18 Ghana Premier League season.

The 21-year-old was previously linked with a move to Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko but the deal fell through following concerns over his earnings and onward transfer percentage.

He arrived in Dormaa Ahenkro on Friday and passed his medical on Saturday before joining his new teammates in Kumasi for the game against Dreams FC in the ongoing Ghalca G8 tournament.

"Great moment but we will have to give thanks to God for this opportunity. I hope to learn and improve in all aspects of my game to be a better player," Ahortor said.

"I will have to pick things gradually but I'm not afraid of competition or whatsoever. I'm here to do my best and will try everything possible for the club," he added.

Ahortor has become the latest addition after Caleb Amankwah, Emmanuel Boateng, Justice Annan and Hafiz Adams.

He is part of the club's squad for the 2018 Caf Champions League as they face Al Tahadi in the preliminary round next month.
