The A-League clubs have found out their destiny in Asia's premier club competition

A-League clubs have drawn Chinese giants in the Asian Champions League group stage with Melbourne Victory drawn against Guangzhou Evergrande and Sydney FC will play Shanghai SIPG.

It's the second time Victory have been paired with Guangzhou, who currently have a trio of Brazilians on their books including on loan Barcelona midfielder Paulinho, Alan and Ricardo Goulart.

Kevin Muscat's side will also face a yet to be determined Korean team and the winner of a playoff that could be ex-Victory star Besart Berisha's J-League side Sanfrecce Hiroshima - a match that will also see the return of Japanese superstar Keisuke Honda to his homeland.

The Sky Blues will face a Shanghai team that currently features Brazilian superstars Oscar and Hulk, while they will also take on J-League club Kawasaki Frontale and a playoff team that will likely be a K-League qualifier.

Newcastle Jets face a playoff route to make the group stage that will first require a win against either Singapore's Home United and an Indonesian qualifier, before taking on a J-League qualifier in a sudden death match.
