UEFA Champions League
UEFA Europa League
UEFA Europa League Qualifiers

Southampton now prepare to head to Bournemouth for another game which will help decide matters at the bottom of the table. Brighton host Newcastle with the relief of knowing that their Premier League place next season is pretty much secure. That's all for now. Goodbye!
Southampton's third draw in a row doesn't change their league position. They stay 12th in the Premier League table on 46 points. This result means more for Brighton who stay 15th but are now six points clear of Bournemouth and Aston Villa with a vastly superior goal difference and two games left to play. They're all but safe now.
It's honours even at St. Mary's then as Southampton and Brighton share a score draw. Maupay gave Brighton a deserved lead in the first half before Southampton came storming back in the second, equalising through Ings. The home side might have claimed all three points but for a stunning save by Brighton keeper Ryan from Vestergaard.
90' + 5' Here it is. Gross' clearance is sloppy and Hojbjerg latches onto it, smashing a low shot towards goal from distance. Ryan gets to his right to smother it. It's an expected save but an important one for Brighton nonetheless.
90' + 5' Mac Allister has sight of goal but is quickly crowded out by Southampton defenders. Brighton might have to withstand one last attack.
90' + 4' Burn throws the ball straight to McCarthy and Southampton might get a chance to create something. Hojbjerg miscues his pass totally and the chance is gone. Brighton breathe a sigh of relief.
90' + 2' Mac Allister pops a cultured ball forward for Maupay who nearly gets the wrong side of Bednarek. The Frenchman wins a throw-in though which Brighton are unsurprisingly in no rush to take.
90' Gross tries a throughball for Maupay who's offside. Up the other end, Walker-Peters teases Burn but can't create a clear opportunity for Southampton. There'll be six added minutes at the end of this due to that spate of stoppages.
89' Webster is back on but Brighton are out of substitutions. He's floating around up front now while Stephens has dropped into Brighton's backline.
87' Brighton's defenders are throwing themselves at the ball to hold onto a precious point for their team. Webster is down again after putting his body on the line once more for the cause. He leaves the pitch temporarily. Brighton have a goal-kick in the meantime.
85' Thankfully both Ryan and Webster look to be fine. Brighton are still under the cosh though. Southampton have had 13 shots to Brighton's two in this half.
83' Brighton can't escape their own half at the moment. It's another Southampton free-kick, this time from the left. Ward-Prowse swings it in and Ryan bravely comes out to punch it clear. He clears out Webster in the process and both players stay down for treatment.
81' Southampton are looking for the winner. Ings latches onto an incisive past out to him and he lays off to Adams. Adams takes a fraction too long to shoot and Webster makes another great block to stop him testing Ryan. The visitors clear the resulting corner.
79' Ward-Prowse smacks the free-kick towards goal but Brighton's defensive wall does its job. It's a Southampton corner which Ward-Prowse also takes. Brighton manage to survive that too.
S. Armstrong
W. Smallbone
78' Here's that Southampton change. Armstrong is on for Smallbone.
78' Bissouma fouls Adams in a promising central position for Southampton just outside Brighton's box. Before Ward-Prowse takes the free-kick, Southampton will make a change.
P. Groß
L. Trossard
76' Gross comes on to replace Trossard too. Brighton need fresh legs if they don't want this game to slip away from them.
A. Mac Allister
S. March
76' More changes from Brighton. Mac Allister replaces March.
75' Brighton go hunting on the counter and almost regain the lead! Walker-Peters blocks March's low cross from the left and it rolls nicely into Bissouma's path. The Malian rightly puts his laces through it but somehow fires off target! That really should have been 2-1 Brighton.
74' Brighton see the corner off as Ings heads wide but Southampton aren't letting up now. Hojbjerg has a shot blocked and Ward-Prowse goes down in front of Brighton's box but the referee isn't interested.
72' Vestergaard hits the bar! The Danish centre-back hits a thunderbolt from 30 yards and Ryan makes a fantastic save to tip it onto the crossbar and out for a corner! That has to be one of the saves of the season from the Australian keeper. That shot was heading right for the postage stamp.
70' Southampton are in the ascendancy now. Ings has scored 27 PL goals for Southampton since making his debut for them now - 15 more than any other player for the club in that time. He's been Southampton's best striker for years.
Martín Montoya
T. Lamptey
68' Lamptey's game is over. Montoya replaces him at right wing-back.
Y. Bissouma
D. Pröpper
68' Propper also goes off. Bissouma comes on for him in midfield.
N. Redmond
66' Redmond gets the assist, a sweeping pass from the right. The goal had been coming for Southampton. Brighton will respond right away by making a few changes.
D. Ings
66' GOAL! 1-1 SOUTHAMPTON! Ings gets his 20th goal of a fine season. Lamptey gets himself in a mess and Ings takes full advantage, passing the ball past Ryan into the far corner.
64' Brighton don't clear the corner fully and Trossard fouls Ward-Prowse to the right of the box. Southampton's captain floats it in and Southampton keep Brighton penned in. Webster does just enough to put Hojbjerg off a shot from a tight angle.
63' Brighton are second best at the moment but are still dangerous as Trossard has a shot blocked. Up the other end, Webster sticks out a leg to deny Redmond and Southampton get a corner.
62' Southampton are making Brighton work now. Vokins gets forward to roll the ball across goal and Ryan smothers it to prevent Ings and Adams tapping in.
60' Ward-Prowse receives the ball from Vokins and has a punt from distance. Ryan has it covered. Vokins has looked lively on his Premier League debut.
A. Mooy
G. Murray
59' Here's that change. Murray goes off to be replaced by Mooy. Mooy will operate narrow on the right for Brighton.
58' That Dunk block could be crucial for Brighton. It's protected their lead for now. Trossard looks to fire a cross in from the right but gets it all wrong. There'll be a Brighton change now.
56' Southampton almost equalise a few times! Firstly, Ings cuts inside and fires a fantastic strike off the upright. It lands to Adams who can't get his feet together and Dunk gets back to block on the line! Seconds later, Ings rolls the ball across goal and Adams can't quite stab it in.
54' Vokins has time and space outside Brighton's box and takes aim for the bottom right corner. He's not too far away as Ryan scampers down to his left to watch it bounce just wide.
52' Smallbone puts a decent-looking cross into the box but to no avail. Southampton have put themselves about a bit more since the restart.
50' Southampton struggled to deal with Brighton's 3-5-2 in the first half with the visitors playing Webster, Dunk and Burn at the back. Ings tries to make amends for that by bustling through Brighton's defence only to foul Dunk.
48' Walker-Peters settles into the game, venturing forward from right-back to cross into the box. Southampton get a throw-in out of it.
47' Southampton look brighter already. Vokins crosses low from the left and Adams slashes wide from the centre of the box. He'll be hoping for more goals after opening his account with a spectacular strike against Man City recently.
46' The second half gets underway. Will Southampton's substitutions change this game around for them?
K. Walker-Peters
Oriol Romeu
46' Romeu also goes off for Walker-Peters. That solves two problems for Southampton as Romeu was on a yellow and Hojbjerg really isn't at his best at right-back.
C. Adams
M. Obafemi
46' Southampton make two changes at half-time. The ineffectual Obafemi makes way for Adams.
It's not beyond Brighton to come away with the win here. Southampton are heading for their fifth defeat in their last seven Premier League home games, while Brighton are unbeaten in their last five away games, keeping clean sheets in each of the last three. Will Southampton drag themselves back into this?
The two teams go in at the break and Brighton have a narrow lead thanks to Maupay. The visitors have had slightly more fluency than the hosts Southampton who look tired from their late exploits last time out. There's still time for them to perk up though.
45' + 2' There'll be three added minutes before the end of the half. Redmond drives down the left flank and lifts a cross towards the far post. It's too deep to reach a teammate though and it bounces out for a throw on the opposite side.
45' Brighton end the first half promisingly. Romeu gets himself into a twist in midfield and Trossard nips in to intercept. Trossard has a few options and Brighton get a corner out of it. McCarthy claims it comfortably.
43' Brighton did well to weather that spell of Southampton pressure and look good value to head in at half-time with the lead. Southampton have yet to really get going.
41' Brighton deal reasonably well with the first corner but can't clear it completely. Southampton keep on pushing and force another three corners. Brighton head the last corner out and Ward-Prowse rolls a tame shot towards Ryan who accepts it gratefully.
40' Southampton look buoyed by that Ings opportunity. Ings tries again from the right of the box. This time Dunk gets in the way to make a vital block. Southampton get a corner.
39' Southampton move the ball around without any real purpose. Eventually Redmond fires a pass forward for Ings. Ings fires underneath the body of Ryan and it rebounds off the crossbar and into the net via Lamptey. It won't count though - Ings is well offside.
37' Southampton have had 90% possession in the last five minutes. It's been rather sterile though with not much threat towards Brighton's goal.
35' Ward-Prowse fires a pass out wide to Smallbone, who's swapped flanks with Redmond for now. Southampton get a throw-in but the attack fizzles out.
33' Brighton look threatening as Maupay looks to jink between Hojbjerg and Bednarek to get into the box. The striker goes down but the referee's not remotely interested in considering giving a penalty.
31' Stephens fouls Smallbone down on the left flank. Nothing comes of Southampton's free-kick though.
29' Vestergaard wins a free-kick in his own half as Maupay is overeager in the challenge. Southampton have yet to be truly convincing in this game. They look to still be finding their rhythm.
27' The corner comes into the Southampton box and McCarthy rises high to claim it. That's no problem for the Southampton keeper at all.
25' Brighton win the first corner of the game as Smallbone puts the ball out of play. The visitors can be pleased with their start to the game.
23' Southampton are starting to regain their composure. Hojbjerg has a shot blocked from outside the box after he gets on the end of an Obafemi pass.
21' Southampton need to respond to that goal now. They've been lacked some of their usual intensity so far. Webster brings down Redmond and Southampton get a free-kick. There'll be a drinks break first.
19' Maupay's goal makes him the second Brighton player to score 10 goals in a Premier League season after Murray did it twice in previous seasons. Brighton will be happy to have both their top scorers on the pitch at once.
G. Murray
17' That was a decent assist by Murray. The Brighton striker may be 36 now but is still as effective as ever.
N. Maupay
17' GOAL! 1-0 BRIGHTON! Brighton take a deserved lead for all their early efforts. Lamptey's throw-in from the right is nodded on in the box by Murray to Maupay. Maupay makes no mistake, slotting a left-footed shot into the bottom right corner!
16' Brighton get another opportunity to test McCarthy. Trossard rises high to head towards goal but McCarthy jumps up to prevent it going into the top left corner.
15' This is quite an open, end-to-end affair so far. Obafemi lays off to Ward-Prowse whose shot rattles off a Brighton defender. Romeu has a try from distance but he drags it well wide.
13' Webster wins a free-kick in Southampton's half as he's fouled by Obafemi. Burn nods down to Murray who slashes over from the left of the box. This is a good spell for Brighton.
11' Brighton continue to pressure Southampton. Murray has another effort blocked from the centre of the area and Propper skies his shot shortly afterwards.
9' Chance for Brighton! Brighton take the free-kick quickly and Burn crosses from the left. Maupay snatches at a first shot from the centre of the box, and it's blocked. The Frenchman fires over on the follow-up. He should have at least tested McCarthy there.
Oriol Romeu
Yellow Card
7' Romeu gets an early yellow card for a strong challenge on March that sends the Brighton player somersaulting to the turf. He'll have to be cautious for the rest of the game now.
5' Chance for Southampton! Hojbjerg, playing at right-back today, gallops forward on the overlap and latches onto Romeu's pass into Brighton's box. The Dane fires for the bottom right corner and Ryan dives across to keep it out.
3' Southampton go on an early attack as the 20-year-old midfielder Smallbone passes inside to Obafemi. The striker slips under pressure from Dunk though and Brighton get it away.
1' And we're off here in Southampton!
The two sides are out on the St. Mary's Stadium pitch. Southampton are in their traditional home kit of red and white shirts and black shorts. Brighton will play in their green and black away kit.
Southampton won the reverse fixture between these two sides in Brighton 2-0 last August. They're unbeaten in all five of their Premier League meetings with Brighton (W2 D3). Will the Saints be able to keep that run going today?
Southampton freshen up from their 2-2 draw with Man United by making five changes to their starting line-up. Vestergaard, Vokins, Smallbone, Hojbjerg and Obafemi all come in. Brighton make six changes from their defeat to Man City as Murray partners Maupay up front.
SUBS: Shane Duffy, Alexis Mac Allister, Yves Bissouma, Aaron Connolly, Aaron Mooy, Pascal Gross, Martin Montoya, Bernardo, David Button.
BRIGHTON (4-4-2): Mat Ryan; Tariq Lamptey, Adam Webster, Lewis Dunk (c), Dan Burn; Solly March, Davy Propper, Dale Stephens, Leandro Trossard; Glenn Murray, Neal Maupay.
SUBS: Ryan Bertrand, Kevin Danso, Jack Stephens, Shane Long, Che Adams, Stuart Armstrong, Angus Gunn, Jacob Maddox, Kyle Walker-Peters.
SOUTHAMPTON (4-2-2-2): Alex McCarthy; James Ward-Prowse (c), Jan Bednarek, Jannik Vestergaard, Jake Vokins; William Smallbone, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Oriol Romeu, Nathan Redmond; Danny Ings, Michael Obafemi.
Taking them on in this South Coast special are Brighton who look one win away from Premier League safety. Graham Potter's team suffered a 5-0 thumping against Man City last time out and will be hoping for a better showing here.
Southampton are safely ensonced in midtable but that can make a side dangerous. Ralph Hasenhuttl's side are unbeaten in their last four Premier League games and have claimed creditable results against Manchester United and Man City in recent weeks. They may have little to play for but their opponents will be wary at present.
