He starts a brisk counter by releasing Lamela into the Newcastle half. The Argentine surges all the way into the box before weaving his way past Krafth. Lamela's strike is saved by Dubravka, but Kane is on hand with a diving header to score, taking a blow from Fernandez in the process.

76' Saint-Maximin launches another effort at goal, but on this occasion Lloris makes a comfortable stop.
H. Kane

73' Almiron and Joelinton combine to tee up Shelvey, but the midfielder can only scoop an effort straight at Lloris.

49' Aurier makes a good run down the right flank and he fires a low ball across the face of goal, but there's no one there in a blue shirt to pounce on the opportunity.

47' Lucas threads the ball through to Kane in the right inside channel. He cuts the ball back towards the penalty spot, forcing Schar to clear behind under pressure.
46' We're back underway at St James' Park.
Steve Bruce will not be too disappointed with his side's performance. They made one error at the back and paid the price. Other than that they've looked lively in the final third and should at least be level. There's plenty of reasons to be encouraged from the Magpies' perspective at half-time.
Tottenham lead Newcastle 1-0 at the break at St James' Park courtesy of Son Heung-min's strike. Spurs capitalised on a mistake by Fabian Schar, which allowed Giovanni Lo Celso to tee up the forward. He squeezed his effort past Martin Dubravka inside the left post to put the visitors ahead. Son was denied a second by the Newcastle keeper following a strike from distance. T. Alderweireld
Yellow Card
30' Alderweireld catches Ritchie late and goes into the book.

21' Shelvey plays a sublime cross-field pass towards Gayle, but the ball just evades him for a clear strike. He gains possession to keep the attack alive, but drills his effort straight into the legs of Sanchez.
20' Yedlin makes an important challenge at the back to stop Son in his track after he was teed up by Kane.

7' OVER! Ritchie cuts the resulting corner back to Almiron to strike from the edge of the box again. However, this time he sends his effort harmlessly over the bar.
6' BLOCK! A cross from the right from Krafth falls into the path of Almiron. He strikes at power with his left foot on the half-volley from the edge of the box, but Sanchez puts his body on the line to divert it wide.
4' Saint-Maximin cuts in from the left flank and shapes to shoot. He fakes one strike to try to get closer to goal, but Lo Celso makes the challenge that halts his charge.
3' The visitors opt to play the ball short and work it around the pitch, but the Magpies hold firm and break up the play before Spurs can threaten.
2' Bentaleb pulls back Lucas on the charge and Spurs win a free-kick on the right flank.
1' We're underway at St James' Park.
Newcastle are looking to record their first Premier League double over Spurs since 2015-16, following their 1-0 win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in August.
Tottenham are unchanged from their win over Arsenal last time out. Aurier has made himself available for selection after the death of his brother over the weekend. Elsewhere, Son plays behind Kane in the final third, while Lucas and Sissoko operate on the flanks.
Newcastle have made three changes to their side from their defeat to Watford. Krafth, Yedlin and Bentaleb all come into the fold. Manquillo drops to the bench, while Rose is ineligible against his former club. Skipper Jamaal Lascelles misses out due to injury.
TOTTENHAM SUBS: Jan Vertonghen, Erik Lamela, Ryan Sessegnon, Paulo Gazzaniga, Steven Bergwijn, Oliver Skipp, Gedson Fernandes, Japhet Tanganga, Harvey White.
TOTTENHAM (4-4-2): Hugo Lloris; Serge Aurier, Davinson Sanchez, Toby Alderweireld, Ben Davies; Moussa Sissoko, Giovanni Lo Celso, Harry Winks, Lucas Moura; Son Heung-min, Harry Kane.

Tottenham earned a vital win over Arsenal in the north London derby last time out. The result lifted Spurs above Arsenal, although their hopes of Champions League football next season are all but over. Jose Mourinho still has to pick up his team in pursuit of the Europa League. They're unbeaten in their last three matches since suffering a 3-1 defeat to Sheffield United. However, it will take a strong effort to beat the Magpies on the road.
Newcastle's solid run of form since the restart has dipped over the last two matches. They were crushed 5-0 at the hands of Manchester City before losing 2-1 to Watford last time out, conceding two penalties at Vicarage Road. Steve Bruce will not want to see his side's season peter out with a whimper. They've got a strong record at St James' Park of late and will be looking to do the double over Spurs this term.
Good afternoon and welcome to the live commentary of the Premier League clash between Newcastle United and Tottenham at St James' Park.
