Commentary

Thanks for joining our commentary this evening. Until next time, goodbye.
United travel to the King Power Stadium to face Leicester on Sunday, knowing that anything other than a defeat is good enough for a top-four place. West Ham end their campaign at home against Aston Villa.
Manchester United move into the Champions League places after drawing 1-1 against West Ham United this evening, but still need to avoid defeat to Leicester on the final day to secure a spot in Europe's elite competition. Mason Greenwood's second-half strike cancelled out Michail Antonio's effort from the penalty spot, but the Red Devils were off the boil for the majority of the contest. The Hammers have guaranteed their place in the Premier League next term as a result of the draw at Old Trafford.

85' WIDE! Greenwood surges down the right flank and cuts the ball back into the middle for Ighalo. The striker takes on the shot first time, but can only slice his effort wide of the target.
O. Ighalo
M. Rashford
85' Ighalo replaces Rashford for the home side.

A. Masuaku

S. Haller
M. Antonio

73' Cresswell has a problem and will have to leave the field for the Hammers. That's a blow for Moyes' men.
72' OVER! Noble whips the resulting free-kick into the box where Antonio rises to head at goal, but he can only send his effort over the bar.
71' Bowen is caught by Matic on a charge down the right flank and is awarded a free-kick. The Hammers continue to threaten.
71' Ogbonna catches Matic on the back of the head after leaping to connect with Noble's cross. United do not want to see another head injury to a key player.
M. Rashford
Yellow Card
70' Rashford brings down Bowen down the flank and he goes into the book.
69' We're back underway at Old Trafford.
68' The referee pauses the game for the second cooling break of the contest.
67' CLOSE! The United defence back of Rice in the final third and he bends a dangerous strike towards the top-right corner. His effort drifts just wide of the post, with De Gea beaten.
65' Rashford works the ball to Martial in the final third, who only has Ogbonna to surge past. The defender gets a vital foot in to break up the attack.
63' Bowen's deep corner into the box is met by Diop, who sees his effort charged down. Johnson then goes for the blast from distance, but he smashes his attempt well wide of the target.
62' SAVE! Noble sends a quick pass out wide to Bowen, who tries to square up Williams. His strike takes a deflection off the defender and forces De Gea into a reaction stop to turn it over the bar. A fine save from the Spaniard.
60' Pogba lines up a strike from distance after collecting the ball in space 25 yards from goal. He connects with his effort that travels over the bar without troubling Fabianski.
58' Wan-Bissaka looks for the run of Fernandes in the right inside channel, but the Portuguese loses his footing at the vital moment and the ball trickles out for goal-kick.

52' OVER! Bowen runs at Williams down the right flank and reaches the inside channel. Williams loses his foot, but Maguire gets across the block the strike from the West Ham forward. Rice takes on a volley from the rebound on the edge of the box, but he smashes his attempt over the bar.

M. Greenwood
Goal
51' GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!! GREENWOOD EQUALISES!!!! 1-1!!! United are back the game as the youngster blasts his effort past Fabianski. Martial plays a neat one-two with the forward on the edge of the box. Greenwood gets the ball quickly out of his feet and dispatches a low strike into the bottom-right corner.
49' Johnson has options in the final third with Noble in space down the channel. However, he goes for the cross towards the back post which is gathered with ease by De Gea.
47' The Hammers work the ball well down the right flank before Johnson angles a low cross towards the middle, but Williams holds his ground to block the cross.
46' Man Utd are winless in 12 league matches when trailing at half-time (D3 L9) since beating Southampton 3-2 in March 2019.
46' We're back underway at Old Trafford.
A. Wan-Bissaka
T. Fosu-Mensah
46' Fosu-Mensah is withdrawn at the break by the home side and is replaced by Wan-Bissaka.
United have lacked their usual vigour in the final third. Bruno Fernandes has not been at his best, although he cannot be expected to carry the team every week. Martial, Rashford and Mason Greenwood have not been firing on all cylinders. It could be a case of fatigue settling in for the home side. Let's see if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer can muster a response out of his team after the break.
West Ham United lead Manchester United at the break courtesy of Michail Antonio's penalty. The Red Devils have been off the pace in the contest, bar a couple of efforts from Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford that forced Lukas Fabianski into action. West Ham held their own and were handed a huge boost before half-time when Paul Pogba used his hands to shield himself from Declan Rice's blast. Antonio converted from 12 yards to give the visitors the advantage at Old Trafford.

45' + 1' PENALTY TO WEST HAM! The referee points to the spot after the VAR review and the Hammers have a golden chance to take the lead before the break.
45' Rice leathers the ball towards goal from the resulting free-kick. It apparently strikes Pogba flush on the head, but replays show that it struck his hands protecting his face.
T. Fosu-Mensah
Yellow Card
44' Fosu-Mensah wipes out Antonio on the charge and goes into the book. The Hammers have a free-kick in a dangerous position.
43' Antonio puts Lindelof under pressure in the box to attack Johnson's cross. The Swede does just enough to fend off the forward and the ball deflects off his head to travel into the arms of De Gea.
41' With half-time in sight the Hammers are trying to put their foot on the ball. The visitors have played well thus far, but face an important period before the interval.
39' BLOCK! Ogbonna puts his body on the line to produce an important block to deny Greenwood from close range after good from Williams on the byline to beat Johnson.

35' Greenwood has space down the left flank and he works the ball towards Fernandes on the edge. The Portuguese is immediately closed down by Soucek and loses possession.
34' Fosu-Mensah gets the better of Antonio down the right flank, but he sees his offload into the feet of Greenwood cut out.
31' WIDE! Noble and Bowen combine from the corner to see the latter clip a cross into the box. Ogbonna rises, but can only send his header wide of the left post.
30' Fornals angles a fine ball over the top for Bowen, who gets the better of Williams. Only a saving foot from Matic stops the forward striking at goal, although the Hammers have a corner.
28' Matic finds Fernandes in a dangerous position, but Diop closes on the midfielder before he can turn to provide a threat in the final third.
27' Fernandes is played into space on the edge of the box and pulls the trigger on a left-footed strike that he can only send over the bar.
25' We're back underway at Old Trafford.
24' The referee pauses the game for the first water break of the contest.
23' Fosu-Mensah collects an offload from Pogba down the right flank. He sends a low cross into the box that skews wide of the left post, although it counts for little as the right-back is offside anyway.
22' West Ham work the ball again in the final third. Bowen lifts another cross into the middle that is headed clear by Maguie under pressure from Ogbonna.
21' Bowen sends a dangerous inswinging corner in from the right flank. It flicks the head of Diop, but Maguire is well positioned to clear the initial threat.
20' Bowen and Antonio combine down the right flank. The latter sends a cross towards Fornals in the box that forces Maguire to clear behind for a corner.
18' OVER! Martial collects a pass from Matic and turns to shoot at goal, only to blaze his right-footed effort well over the bar.
16' West Ham seemed to have calmed the early United threat and are settling into the contest. Antonio has been isolated in the opening 15 minutes, which puts onus on Bowen and Fornals to provide support.
14' Williams lifts a ball over the top for Fernandes' run behind the Hammers defence. However, the Portuguese loses control of the ball at the vital moment, conceding a goal-kick.
12' Cresswell whips the resulting free-kick into a dangerous area across the face of goal, but there's no white shirt there to capitalise on the opening.
10' Greenwood brings down Antonio down the left flank and the Hammers win a free-kick in a dangerous position.
8' Fornals does well at the back on the slide to prevent Fernandes' throughball from finding Fosu-Mensah down the right flank.
7' The visitors are sitting deep in their shape to combat United's early possession. Resilience has not been a strong point of theirs of late so this will be a challenge.
5' United have settled into an early rhythm and are knocking the ball around with ease. The home side look dangerous.
3' Fernandes works an offload into the path of Greenwood on the edge of the box. The forward goes for a quick strike on his left foot that Fabianski gets down to stop with ease.
2' SAVE! Fernandes sends Martial through down the right inside channel and he carves out space to fire at goal. The Frenchman drills his effort low towards the target, but sees his strike saved by Fabianski.
1' We're underway at Old Trafford.
Manchester United are unbeaten in their last 11 Premier League home games against West Ham (W9 D2), since a 0-1 loss in May 2007.
The Hammers are unchanged from their side that beat Watford last time out. Johnson continues at right-back in the absence of Ryan Fredericks. Antonio will look to continue his outstanding form since the restart, leading the line at Old Trafford.
United have made four changes to their side from their FA Cup semi-final defeat to Chelsea. Pogba, Greenwood, Fosu-Mensah and Martial all come into the fold. Eric Bailly is out after suffering a head injury at Wembley, while Fred, James and Wan-Bissaka all drop to the bench.
WEST HAM UNITED SUBS: Fabian Balbuena, Andriy Yarmolenko, Felipe Anderson, Manuel Lanzini, Jack Wilshere, Sebastien Haller, Arthur Masuaku, Darren Randolph, Conor Coventry.
WEST HAM UNITED (4-2-3-1): Lukasz Fabianski; Ben Johnson, Issa Diop, Angelo Ogbonna, Aaron Cresswell; Tomas Soucek, Declan Rice; Jarrod Bowen, Mark Noble, Pablo Fornals; Michail Antonio.
MANCHESTER UNITED SUBS: Juan Mata, Jesse Lingard, Fred, Diogo Dalot, Daniel James, Odion Ighalo, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Scott McTominay.
MANCHESTER UNITED (4-2-3-1): David de Gea; Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Brandon Williams; Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic; Mason Greenwood, Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford; Anthony Martial.
West Ham all but propelled themselves over the line to retain their Premier League status by beating Watford last time out. The Hammers continued their form from their triumph over Norwich, with Michail Antonio once again finding the net. Tomas Soucek and Declan Rice also got on the scoresheet to ensure that David Moyes' men avoided the drop bar a miraculous final day. The Scot will not want to see his side's standards slip even after securing their spot in the division for another season.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men were off the boil at Wembley in their FA Cup semi-final defeat to Chelsea. David de Gea came under fire for his performance, notably Mason Mount’s strike. The Norwegian rotated his options and his decision backfired, resulting in their first defeat in 20 matches. They have to get back to winning ways this evening with a Champions League place at stake. A victory over the Hammers would lift them above Leicester City ahead of their showdown against the Foxes on the final day of the season.
Good evening and welcome to the live commentary of the Premier League clash between Manchester United and West Ham United at Old Trafford.
