Commentary

It's back to the Championship for poor old Norwich, then, while Man City can still dream of European glory in the Champions League as they prepare to face newly crowned Spanish champions Real Madrid in their round-of-16 second leg. On this evidence, Guardiola's team are going to take some stopping. That's all for now. Goodbye!
Man City end the 2019-20 Premier League season with 81 points then, 15 points clear of third-placed Man Utd and 18 points behind champions Liverpool. It's hard to believe they'll be so far behind next time. Norwich finish rock bottom and gain the unwanted Premier League records of the fewest ever away goals (7) and becoming the only side ever to lose every game in which they fell behind in a single season.
Man City get revenge for their season-ruining defeat at Carrow Road earlier in the season by thumping already-doomed Norwich. De Bruyne was the pick of the performers with two goals and an assist but Man City's all-round performance was very professional. Liverpool had better watch their backs next season.
90' + 4' Man City get one last chance. The imperious De Bruyne swings in an excellent cross from the left and Fernandinho heads over. That's it - the final whistle blows!
90' + 4' FULL-TIME: MANCHESTER CITY 5-0 NORWICH CITY
A. Famewo
K. McLean
90' + 2' McLean also leaves the pitch. 21-year-old centre-back Famewo is on for him.
J. Thomas
T. Cantwell
90' + 2' Norwich make two late changes. Cantwell is replaced by the 19-year-old defender Thomas.
C. Zimmermann
Yellow Card
90' + 2' Zimmermann is booked for committing a cynical foul on De Bruyne as the Belgian beats him for pace down the left flank.
K. De Bruyne
Goal
90' GOAL! 5-0 MAN CITY! Man City are racking up the goals now. De Bruyne grabs his second goal of the game as he finds an inch of space in the box, arrowing an effort into the top right corner.
89' Norwich waste their best chance of the game. Cantwell leads the charge down the right flank and crosses to the far post. Martin shoots first-time but it's a tame effort straight at Ederson. The youngster could, or should, have scored there.
J. Martin
O. Hernández
87' Norwich make a substitution of their own. Hernandez makes way for the 18-year-old winger Martin, formerly of Arsenal's academy.
Bernardo Silva
David Silva
85' So ends David Silva's remarkable Premier League career. The Spaniard leaves the pitch to a standing ovation from Man City's players and coaching staff. Bernardo Silva comes on for him.
R. Mahrez
Goal
83' GOAL! 4-0 MAN CITY! McLean gets muddled on the edge of his own box and passes the ball straight to Mahrez. Mahrez doesn't need inviting to punish the mistake, firing a shot low into the bottom left corner.
82' Norwich get a shot. Rupp slides Idah behind Man City's defence. The young striker shoots low first-time from just outside the box and Ederson drops low to make a decent save.
81' Man City sense that Norwich are tiring. Mahrez drills a shot towards goal from range that Aarons and Krul somehow conspire to keep out.
K. De Bruyne
Assist
79' De Bruyne released that pass at the perfect time. The Belgian becomes only the second player to reach 20 assists in a Premier League season since Thierry Henry in 2002-03. He still has time to break the record.
R. Sterling
Goal
79' GOAL! 3-0 MAN CITY! Man City get their 100th league goal of the season. Sterling slots home as he darts behind Norwich's defence and latches onto a perfect pass from De Bruyne.
M. Vrančić
M. Stiepermann
77' Next off is Stiepermann who has worked hard. Vrancic comes on for him.
A. Idah
T. Pukki
77' Pukki's game is over. The young Irish striker Idah replaces him. This could have been a different game had Pukki scored from that chance early on. It's the sort of chance he would have scored from a year ago.
76' De Bruyne cuts inside onto his right foot from an inside-left position and curls an effort over the crossbar. It looks like Norwich are preparing a few changes.
75' Man City nearly make it 3-0! Walker powers down the right with a frightening burst of pace. His cross finds Sterling whose shot is blocked. Jesus takes aim on the follow-up and forces a decent save from Krul. The Brazilian gets a second bite of the cherry seconds later but this one tests Krul less.
73' The tempo of the game has slowed significantly. Man City's latest attack breaks down and Cantwell darts down the right. The midfielder's crowded out though but Rupp succeeds in winning a throw-in for the visitors.
71' Mahrez attempts to jink his past into the box from the right but can't get past Hernandez. Hernandez has been Norwich's best player today.
69' Play resumes. Man City have taken their foot off the gas slightly in the past few minutes.
67' Man City get a few more chances. David Silva forces a corner from De Bruyne's layoff as Lewis dives in to block. De Bruyne sends the corner towards the far post where Mahrez skies it. There'll be another drinks break now.
65' Man City hit the post! De Bruyne sneaks his way to the right of the box and fizzes a cross across goal. It's aimed towards Jesus but Zimmermann pokes a toe at it and is lucky to see it rebound off the post rather than go into the net.
63' The current shot count is 20 to Man City, three to Norwich. This hasn't been much of a contest.
61' Sterling takes on Aarons but shows the young right-back a little too much of the ball, prompting Aarons to stick out a leg to win it. Norwich do have some promising players. They just haven't been consistent enough.
59' Man City go straight up the other end and create a chance of their own. Sterling gets a snapshot from outside the box and drags it wide.
58' Norwich enjoy a rare spell on the ball. Hernandez decides to power straight down the middle towards goal and is only denied by Ederson! You think Norwich could have done better if they'd had him all season.
57' David Silva spots a run from Walker down the right but overcooks the pass, sending the ball straight out of play. He can't be magic all of the time.
56' Man City tiptoe their way to the edge of the penalty area and the cross comes in from Walker. Godfrey punts it out for a throw-in.
55' Fernandinho heads wide from De Bruyne's corner. Norwich's defenders are working extremely hard just to keep Man City's lead down.
53' David Silva swivels this way and that in the box looking for a clear opportunity. In the end the little midfielder aims for the top left corner and is denied by Krul. It'll be a Man City corner.
52' David Silva drifts behind Norwich's defence to fire in a low cross from the left. It's got too much pace on it for Jesus to get on the end of it.
João Cancelo
Yellow Card
51' Cantwell surfs forward on the counter-attack and is brought down by Cancelo. Cancelo earns himself a yellow card for the challenge.
51' De Bruyne attempts a slick one-two with David Silva on the left of the penalty area. Silva's return pass is just a touch heavy and Aarons intercepts.
49' Man City resume the dominance they had in the first half. Mahrez has two Norwich players come out to meet him and wins a corner for the hosts.
47' Gundogan nearly leaves his stamp on the game straight away. De Bruyne, held up inside the box, spots Gundogan arriving and rolls the ball right to him. The German's howitzer isn't far off.
47' Norwich get the game going again.
İ. Gündoğan
Rodri
46' Finally, Gundogan replaces Rodrigo at the base of midfield. Three positive changes here.
Fernandinho
Eric García
46' Fernandinho comes on for García, presumably at centre-back.
R. Mahrez
P. Foden
46' Man City make three changes at half-time, because they can. Mahrez takes the muted Foden's place on the right flank.
De Bruyne's now been directly involved in 100 Premier League goals in 155 games, scoring 35 and assisting 65. Man City will be fine when David Silva goes. For the meantime, though, they'll be hoping the Spaniard can cap his departure with a goal. Can Norwich keep the score respectable?
It looks like there'll be no end-of-season respite for Norwich. Man City have comfortably bested the visitors, although Norwich were almost first to take the lead when Hernandez's effort was ruled out. Instead, Jesus scored for Man City seconds later before De Bruyne followed up on the brink of half-time.
45' + 3' HALF-TIME: MANCHESTER CITY 2-0 NORWICH CITY
45' + 3' Man City nearly end the half with a flourish. Cancelo lofts in a cross from the left and Foden nods a header wide to the right. That'll be that for now.
K. Walker
Assist
45' + 2' Walker can claim the assist but that goal was all about the quality of De Bruyne. He's surely got to win some individual award this season.
K. De Bruyne
Goal
45' + 1' GOAL! 2-0 MAN CITY! De Bruyne shirks a challenge by Stiepermann to get onto his right foot. The Belgian takes a touch and curls an unstoppable shot past Krul from 20 yards out. Brilliant as ever.
45' There'll be three added minutes in this first half as David Silva's effort from the centre of the box is blocked. Norwich will be content to get to half-time just the one goal down.
43' Foden skips away from Hernandez and Lewis to burst into the box. His cross is stopped by Godfrey and Norwich clear their lines. There's nowhere for them to go though. Man City will be coming straight back.
41' David Silva is not far off getting his fated goal. The Spanish magician jinks past a few Norwich players into the box before dragging a shot just wide of the right-hand post.
39' Man City want this done by half-time. Foden receives the ball from De Bruyne and unleashes a missile straight at Krul in Norwich's goal. Krul makes the save and it lands to Cancelo who blazes over.
37' David Silva wins a free-kick in Norwich's half as he's closed down too tightly. It's hard to believe this is the last league game we'll see him as a Man City player.
35' Two chances for Norwich! Man City's defence are caught high up the pitch and Rupp slides Pukki through on goal. The Finn normally scores from these positions but Ederson rushes out to block. The ball rolls out to Cantwell whose attempted chip from range sails just over the crossbar.
33' Man City get two more corners after Sterling lays off for David Silva and Godfrey throws himself in front of it. Norwich will be lucky not to be a few goals down by half-time.
31' Jesus almost gets his second! There's a scramble in the penalty area as Foden keeps a cross in play. The ball ends up with Jesus who is denied by a heroic block a few yards out! Norwich survive for the time being.
29' Man City pepper Norwich's goal, looking to double their lead. De Bruyne spanks a shot towards goal from distance and it deflects off Godfrey for a corner. De Bruyne finds Foden from the corner and his shot is blocked by Stiepermann. Norwich are well up against it.
27' It's all one-way traffic at the moment. Norwich are holding their own for now but are under continuous pressure.
25' Play pauses briefly for the now customary drinks break before it quickly resumes. McLean looks forward for Pukki but Norwich's Finnish striker is offside.
23' Chance for Man City! Foden beats Aarons down the left and hangs up a cross to the far post. Sterling is a few yards out but can't keep his header down. That was a hard chance for the English winger but still a good opportunity to score.
21' Man City have had 74% possession so far. Norwich are struggling to get any share of the ball and are yet to have a shot, barring their chalked off goal, of course.
19' Norwich create an opportunity of their own. Hernandez skips inside the box on his right foot and crosses towards goal. It takes a deflection and almost rolls past Ederson but Man City's goalkeeper is alert and smothers it before Pukki arrives.
17' Jesus receives the ball to the left of the box from Foden and lets rip but can't keep his effort down. Norwich knew they were in for a tough time before this game.
15' Man City are on top but Norwich do look game. Norwich survive another Man City corner conceded by Aarons.
13' That Jesus goal is his 22nd goal of the season for Man City - his best ever return in three seasons at the club. The Brazilian's getting better and better for them.
Gabriel Jesus
Goal
11' GOAL! 1-0 MAN CITY! Man City compound Norwich's disappointment. Jesus bundles the ball home from close range after Sterling's cross causes confusion in the Norwich box.
10' NO GOAL FOR NORWICH! Hernandez's goal is ruled out - he was offside at the time of Stiepermann's pass. The score stays 0-0. That's unfortunate for Norwich. It would have been a fantastic start to the game for them.
9' GOAL! 1-0 NORWICH! Norwich seem to have a surprise lead after Hernandez puts the ball into the net! The Cuban slots home from the edge of the box from Stiepermann's throughball. VAR will be taking a look at it...
7' Man City are looking good already. Sterling fizzes a shot wide from the centre of the box after latching onto a pass from David Silva.
5' Man City get the first chance of the game. Cancelo ventures forward from left-back and has a crack from distance but his effort floats well over the bar.
3' Man City get an early corner as Zimmermann is forced to put the ball out of play. Norwich deal with iDe Bruyne's delivery reasonably comfortably.
1' Man City and Norwich take the knee before Man City get this game underway!
The two sides are out on the pitch at an empty Etihad Stadium. Man City will play in their usual sky blue shirts and white shorts. Norwich are in their idiosyncratic yellow shirts and green shorts.
This looks like it could be an end-of-season cracker. Of all the Premier League fixtures played at least 10 times since the year 2000, Man City versus Norwich has the highest goals-per-game ratio of 4.27 - that's 47 goals in 11 games. Man City have lost just one of their last 11 closing day league games - that was a 3-2 defeat here against Norwich in 2012-13. Will Man City romp to victory as expected, or will Norwich end the season with an unlikely league double? Let's find out!
There's just the one change for Man City from their 4-0 away win over Watford, as Bernardo Silva makes way for the departing captain David Silva. Norwich make four changes from their 2-0 loss to Burnley as Pukki, Stiepermann, Zimmermann and Rupp come in. They only have eight potential substitutes to draw from, including two goalkeepers and six academy products.

Norwich City don't have much to play for either as their relegation back to the Championship is already confirmed. Daniel Farke's team are huge underdogs going into this match. Then again, they were when they famously beat Man City 3-2 in the reverse fixture last September too.
Man City are guaranteed to end this Premier League season in second place, behind only champions Liverpool. For them, this game is all about the club's captain David Silva, who will make his final domestic appearance for the club after 10 glorious years.
