Gor Mahia - Tusker Preview: KPL leaders v champions. Who will prevail?
Goal Kenya.
This will be the second time the two teams are meeting after the Kenyan Super Cup clash that Gor Mahia won 1-0

Last season at a time like this, it was Gor Mahia, who were struggling in the league and were in the bottom half of the table; this time round it is Tusker, who are in that situation, collecting just five points from first five matches, averaging a point per game.

The brewers completed a double last season against K'Ogalo by identical 1-0 wins en route to winning their eleventh title. However, Gor Mahia defeated the champions by a solitary goal to win this season's curtain raiser dubbed Kenyan Super Cup. Five past league matches have been shared equally among the two sides, both winning twice each and drawing once.

Interestingly, no side has conceded more than one goal since 2012; it has always been a close call. Tusker captain James Situma returns from a one-match suspension while Gor Mahia will also be at full strength now that Rwandan JeanBaptiste Mugiraneza is back to full fitness.

Gor Mahia: The former champions have conceded four goals in the last five matches, a thing that will not go down well with keeper Boniface Oluoch, who has managed only two clean sheets, he will be keen on avoiding another goal against his former side. One player, who is slowly establishing himself in K'Ogalo squad is Earnest Wendo. He is filling the void left by Khalid Aucho as well as trying to play Collins "Gattuso' Okoth's role. He will be needed to up his game and control the midfield.

Tusker: David Okello is set to return to the first team after an injury set back, but he has to be at his best to stop Gor Mahia attackers by organizing his defense well as well as making saves. Another player, who can have a say in this match is Humphrey Mieno. He was a target for Gor Mahia last season and he has a chance to show why he is regarded highly.

PROBABLE LINE-UPS: Gor Mahia: Boniface Oluoch, Musa Mohammed, Wellington Ochieng’, Haron Shakava, Karim Nizigiyimana, Ernest Wendo, Godfrey Walusimbi, Jean-Baptiste Mugiraneza, Kenneth Muguna, Meddie Kagere and Jacques Tuyisenge.
