Thank you for joining our coverage, we hope you enjoyed the game. Until next time, goodbye!
Brighton host Manchester City next, while Liverpool face a visit from Burnley.
There goes the full-time whistle! Liverpool raced into an early lead as Salah and Henderson struck inside the first eight minutes after the Reds' press had forced high turnovers. Brighton grew into the game and Trossard pulled one back with a superb strike, but Salah nodded home a corner in the second half to put the game to bed. It finishes 3-1 to Liverpool!
90' + 6' CHANCES! Milner plays an unbelievable splitting pass to find Minamino in the box, but his effort goes behind for a corner. Salah then has a chance to seal his hat-trick with the last touch of the game, but his header sails just over the crossbar!
90' + 5' SAVE! Mane plays Robertson in down the left and his low cross is spilled by Ryan. Salah picks up the pieces but is surrounded by defenders and his eventual shot is just tipped over the bar by Ryan!
90' + 3' WIDE! Mane cuts in from the left, opens up his body and curls towards the top-right corner, but his effort flies agonisingly wide of the post!
90' + 1' Connolly is sent racing through and he charges towards the box. Van Dijk is in pursuit and he arrives just in time to make an inch-perfect challenge just as the forward was about to shoot! That was a fantastic, calm piece of last-ditch defending.
J. Gomez
Yellow Card
89' Gomez is now booked for shoving Connolly over as the substitute looked to lead Brighton on the counter-attack.
88' CLOSE! Connolly shows a quick turn of pace as he works himself a yard on the left side of the box before flashing a strike across goal, but it flies just wide of the post!
T. Minamino
Roberto Firmino
87' Minamino comes on up front for Firmino for the closing stages of the game.
86' MISS! Robertson sends in a free-kick with plenty of pace and Van Dijk nods it back across goal for Wijnaldum. The midfielder mistimes his header, however, and nods over the bar from close range! He can't believe he's not scored!
T. Lamptey
Yellow Card
85' Lamptey picks up a yellow card for a foul on Mane out wide. It's in a dangerous position for Liverpool to whip it into the box.
84' OVER! Stephens dinks the ball over the top for Trossard, who races into the box to meet it, but he can only steer his shot over the top on the volley. It seemed as though the winger was caught in two minds between going for power and attempting a lob.
82' Liverpool have now scored 15 headed goals in the Premier League this season, at least three more than any other team.
J. Milner
J. Henderson
80' Henderson, who has worked tirelessly and scored the second goal, now makes way in midfield as Milner replaces him.
Yellow Card
78' Fabinho becomes the latest player to enter the book after a sloppy challenge on Mooy.
77' Salah has reached 100 goal involvements for Liverpool in the Premier League (73 goals, 27 assists), becoming just the fourth player to do so for the Reds after Steven Gerrard (212), Robbie Fowler (158) and Michael Owen (148).
A. Robertson
76' Robertson's inswinging corner had plenty of pace and whip and Salah diverted it inside the near post well after shaking off the attentions of Lamptey.
Mohamed Salah
76' GOAL!! SALAH SEALS THE GAME FOR LIVERPOOL!! Robertson sends a corner in and Salah gets away from Lamptey to nod home at the near post! Potter will be disappointed to see his side concede in that manner. It's 3-1 to Liverpool!
75' CLOSE! Henderson drives forward from midfield and Mane cuts the ball back to him on the edge of the box after linking up with Robertson down the left. He hits it first-time and it takes a deflection, looping towards the bottom-right corner and wrong-footing Ryan, but it drops just the wrong side of the post!
73' A Brighton corner causes problems for Liverpool as Alisson comes to claim but misses the ball, but nobody is at the back post to convert.
Y. Bissouma
D. Pröpper
71' Propper comes off for Bissouma in the final change of the three. The substitute will be tasked with providing more thrust from central areas.
A. Mooy
A. Mac Allister
71' Mac Allister also makes way, with Mooy providing fresh legs in midfield as Potter makes a triple substitution.
A. Connolly
P. Groß
71' Potter rolls the dice by throwing on an extra forward in Connolly at the expense of Gross in an attempt to snatch a draw.
68' Perhaps the Reds are already feeling the absence of Keita, who created four goalscoring chances tonight, at least two more than any other player so far.
66' Both sides struggle to hold onto the ball for a spell as the game gets bogged down in midfield, resulting in a plethora of turnovers and no real progression for either team.
64' CHANCE! A wonderful, raking diagonal sends Salah away on the counter down the Liverpool left. He beats Lamptey, but the right-back does just enough to put the forward off as the ball gets trapped under his feet, buying time for Gross to get back and block the eventual cross that would have presented Mane with a tap-in at the far post!
S. Mané
Yellow Card
62' Mane's first contribution is to pick up a yellow card for catching his marker with a stray arm.
N. Keïta
61' Meanwhile, Fabinho replaces Keita in midfield to provide greater solidity, allowing Henderson to move further forward.
S. Mané
A. Oxlade-Chamberlain
61' Oxlade-Chamberlain is replaced by Mane on the left wing as Klopp looks to put this game to bed.
60' MISS! What a miss! A right-wing cross is flicked on to Burn, who is completely free at the far post. However, he completely miscues the ball as he attempts to volley it in and ends up steering it into the ground, allowing Wijnaldum to get back and hack clear! The Brighton defender absolutely had to score there!
59' SAVE! Robertson lofts an inch-perfect cross to Henderson in space on the right side of the box. The midfielder catches it on the volley, but he doesn't quite get the power or placement he wanted on it and Ryan holds on well.
57' BLOCK! Liverpool build dangerously down the right and it's worked for Oxlade-Chamberlain to strike, but his fierce effort is blocked away bravely.
55' Keita drives towards the box from the right before laying it back to Alexander-Arnold. The right-back crosses first-time but it's massively overhit and flies straight behind for a goal-kick. That's rare from the Englishman.
53' CHANCE! What a chance! Salah is sent racing away in behind by Keita and he carries the ball into the box before cutting onto his left and firing at goal, but Ryan is out to smother the effort and picks up the loose ball before it can be turned in!
51' Brighton have settled into a nice spell of possession and are working it around well. It's sent forward for Gross to carry into space, but Van Dijk gets there and does just enough to turn it behind off the German for a goal-kick.
49' Lamptey gets forward and this time has a go himself from outside the box, but it's a very wayward effort.
48' Brighton have started the half with good intensity and are pushing forward in search of an equaliser.
46' We're back underway for the second half!
A. Robertson
N. Williams
46' Williams, a natural right-back, was clearly struggling to cope with Lamptey's runs in the first half and is replaced by Robertson at left-back.
Liverpool started the game with intensity and sharpness but appeared to take their foot off the gas and lose focus as the half wore on. Meanwhile, Brighton grew in confidence and deserved their goal. However, Klopp is not likely to be pleased with his players and Potter should expect a renewed intensity from the champions in the second half.
There goes the half-time whistle! Liverpool scored twice in the space of two minutes to race into an early lead, winning the ball high up the field as Brighton looked to play out and punishing the hosts as Salah and Henderson fired in. However, the Seagulls grew into the game and the impressive Lamptey found Trossard in the box with a fine cross for the winger to thump home just before the break. It's 2-1 to Liverpool at half-time!
45' + 2' BLOCK! Oxlade-Chamberlain drives at goal from the left, cutting inside and unleashing a fearsome strike, but it's blocked past the near post by Webster, who bravely charged the shot down.
45' + 1' Trossard has scored in consecutive Premier League games for the first time - seven of his eight goal involvements in the competitionhave come at the Amex (4 goals, 3 assists).
T. Lamptey
45' Lamptey's rampaging runs down the right were causing Liverpool problems and this time he was able to find enough space to put in a delivery of quality that Trossard converted expertly.
L. Trossard
45' GOAL!!! BRIGHTON PULL ONE BACK!! It's no less than the hosts deserve as they've been growing in this game. Lamptey bursts down the right and curls in a sumptuous cross that Trossard meets on the volley and fires emphatically past Alisson! It's 2-1 now!
43' A couple of Brighton players are on the deck after collisions, but both appear to be okay and can continue.
N. Williams
Yellow Card
41' Williams picks up the first yellow card of the game as he barges Lamptey over. He's struggled to deal with the runs of the Brighton right-back in behind him.
39' CLOSE! Salah cuts inside from the right in trademark fashion and bends a shot around a couple of defenders with his left foot. He's aiming for the far corner, but it's just the wrong side of the post! Ryan was left stranded!
37' WIDE! A Brighton corner comes out to Stephens and he fires at goal, but his low drive flies just wide of the post! Alisson tries to send Keita away on the counter, but it's just cut out.
36' BLOCK! Brighton almost carve out an opportunity again! This time, Maupay turns provider as he links up with Trossard before playing him into the area. The winger is under pressure but manages to hit a fierce strike at goal, but it's blocked and the rebound is hacked away before he can get to it!
34' BLOCK! A quick turnover and pass into Maupay catches the Liverpool defence out and they scramble to get back as the striker approaches the area. He cuts onto his left foot and goes for goal, but enough red shirts are back to get in the way and block the shot!
32' Salah's strike today means that only Sergio Aguero (5) has more Premier League goals against Brighton than the Liverpool forward.
30' Keita wins the ball in an advanced area once again and plays it forward to Salah. He switches the play to Oxlade-Chamberlain, who cuts inside but finds his route to goal blocked. Instead, he plays a clever reverse pass into Firmino in the centre of the area, but he can't get a shot away and goes down, but nothing is given.
28' SAVE! Trossard sprints past Gomez and gets to the byline with ease before lifting a cross to Maupay at the near post. The striker fires at goal but Alisson makes himself big and gets in the way before Keita hacks behind for a corner! The hosts are looking more and more dangerous as the half wears on.
26' NO GOAL! A long ball from the back finds Gross in acres of space down the right and he rolls it across the box for Maupay to fire in at the far post, but the linesman's flag is up for offside.
24' After going seven hours and 47 minutes without scoring a goal away from home in all competitions, Liverpool scored twice within 127 seconds courtesy of Salah and Henderson.
22' Lamptey shows searing pace as he races onto a pass into space down the right, knocking it past Williams and shrugging the challenge off with ease. He tries to do the same with Henderson, but the midfielder gets his body in the way and draws a foul, diffusing the danger.
20' BLOCK! Maupay finds Gross, who had ghosted into the box from the right with just Williams for company. He attempts to square to his right, but Wijnaldum gets in the way. However, the ball is loose after the Dutchman's touch and Trossard arrives to strike at goal, only for Williams to dive in and make an important sliding block!
18' Lamptey trips Firmino up as the Brazilian and Salah combine expertly on the counter. Salah is eager to play on but the referee has already blown his whistle, much to the Egyptian's frustration.
16' Henderson is down after Maupay caught him on the top of the ankle with his studs, but no further punishment appears to be forthcoming and the Liverpool skipper is back on his feet and will try to run off the injury.
14' SAVE! Some neat combination play on the edge of the box sees Salah played into the area down the right by Keita, but the angle closes on him and his right-footed effort is into Ryan's midriff and the goalkeeper holds on.
12' Williams receives the ball from Alexander-Arnold on the opposite flank, cuts inside and shoots from outside the area, but it's blocked away. Both full-backs have looked dangerous in the opening stages of the game.
10' This is the earliest Liverpool have been two goals up in a Premier League game since May 2011 against Fulham.
Mohamed Salah
8' Salah, having scored the opener, turned provider just two minutes later with a clever touch back to Henderson, who was arriving at the edge of the area from midfield.
J. Henderson
8' GOAL!!! HENDERSON MAKES IT 2-0!!! Brighton don't learn from their mistake and try to play out from the back again. Keita wins the ball once more, this time in midfield, and finds Firmino, who gets it forward to Salah. The Egyptian rolls back to Henderson on the edge of the box and the Liverpool captain hits a looping shot that flies past Ryan and in!
N. Keïta
6' Keita worked hard as the whole Liverpool side pressed high and won the ball from Propper, who received with his back to play and looked sluggish on the turn, before squaring to provide Salah with a simple finish!
Mohamed Salah
6' GOAL!! SALAH PUTS LIVERPOOL AHEAD!! Well, that didn't take long! Brighton are caught trying to play out from the back and Ryan passes to Propper, only for the midfielder to be caught on the ball by Keita, who squares for Salah to curl emphatically into the bottom-left corner! It's 1-0 to Liverpool!
4' BLOCK! Firmino finds himself in space in the box and hits a fierce drive across goal, but Webster blocks bravely and sends the shot spinning past the far post!
3' Liverpool have started in dominant fashion, stretching the game with their full-backs as they seek to create openings in Brighton's low block.
1' We're underway at the Amex stadium!
Liverpool are unbeaten in all six of their top-flight away games against Brighton (W3 D3), with both teams finding the net in five of those six meetings.
Brighton have lost each of their last eight meetings with Liverpool in all competitions, including all five games in the Premier League.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp continues to rotate his team now that that title is secured, making four alterations from the 2-0 win over Aston Villa on Sunday. Robertson, Fabinho, Mane and Origi are all named among the substitutes, with Williams, Henderson, Wijnaldum and Firmino taking their places. The Reds are without a centre-back on the bench as Dejan Lovren and Joel Matip remain sidelined through injury.
Brighton boss Graham Potter makes three changes from his side's hard-fought 1-0 win over Norwich City last time out. Connolly, Bissouma and Mooy all drop to the bench, with Gross, Mac Allister and Stephens coming into the team. Steven Alzate and Jose Izquierdo are both omitted from the squad as they step up their respective recoveries.
Liverpool substitutes: Curtis Jones, Fabinho, James Milner, Adrian, Harvey Elliott, Divock Origi, Takumi Minamino, Sadio Mane, Andrew Robertson.
Liverpool XI (4-3-3): Alisson; Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joe Gomez, Virgil van Dijk, Neco Williams; Georginio Wijnaldum, Jordan Henderson, Naby Keita; Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Brighton substitutes: Alireza Jahanbakhsh, Yves Bissouma, David Button, Aaron Connolly, Shane Duffy, Glenn Murray, Bernardo, Aaron Mooy, Martín Montoya.
Brighton XI (4-2-3-1): Mat Ryan; Tariq Lamptey, Adam Webster, Lewis Dunk, Dan Burn; Davy Propper, Dale Stephens; Pascal Gross, Alexis Mac Allister, Leandro Trossard; Neal Maupay.
Premier League champions Liverpool face a Brighton outfit nine points clear of the relegation zone this evening. The Seagulls look likely to avoid the drop but are still yet to mathematically guarantee their safety, whilst the Reds will want to break the 100-point barrier if they can.
