Kante: France still have a job to do at Euro 2016

France may be favourites to beat Portugal in Sunday’s final and lift the Euro 2016 title on home soil, but the hosts still have to see the job through, insists midfielder N’Golo Kante.

While Les Bleus topped their group before dispatching Ireland and World Cup winners Germany in 90 minutes, Portugal have grinded their way to the showpiece occasion, having failed to win in normal time until a 2-0 victory over Wales in the semi-final.

But Kante, who can complete a dream season following his Premier League-winning exploits with Leicester City, refuses to underestimate Fernando Santos’ side.

“We have got better and better in this tournament and now we want to go the final and win. We have a job to finish,” he said.

“For me to win the Premier League with Leicester and Euro 2016 with France would be a dream come true.

"I would never have believed it a year ago. It has been a year I could never forget.

"We did it at Leicester and I want to do the same with my country.”
