Stuart Pearce believes Harry Kane has what it takes to win the Golden Boot at Euro 2016.
Pearce, who made 78 appearances for the national team and had a spell as England caretaker manager in 2012, says that Tottenham striker Kane is in with a shout to win the prestigious award after picking up the Premier League Golden Boot in May.
Kane scored 25 league goals last season, narrowly edging out Jamie Vardy, and Pearce remains convinced that he can continue scoring goals in the summer tournament.
"I'm hoping that Kane or Alli will come and have a wonderful tournament and put the performances on that will fire England forward into the latter stages", speaking as an ambassador for Carlsberg’s ‘If Carlsberg Did Substitutions’ UEFA EURO 2016™ campaign
"I'm hoping Kane will come away with the golden boot and if he does it means we'll probably reach the semi-finals and beyond.
"When you look at the competition, Giroud, people like that he's comparable to those individuals. We need the team to play their part as well but I see no reason why he can't win it."
