LA is one of the ten charter franchises in the MLS and one of the most decorated teams in league history. The Galaxy have won the MLS Cup twice (2002, 2005) as well as the U.S. Open Cup (2001, 2005) and the CONCACAF Champions League in 2000. There has always been a steady stream of star players, e.g. Mexicans Carlos Hermosillo, Jorge Campos, and Luis Hernandez, and Americans Cobi Jones and Landon Donovan. The Galaxy added superstar David Beckham in January 2007, the biggest signing in MLS history. With Landon donovan and David Beckham in combination, the Galaxy have become one of the biggest clubs in the MLS in ticket sales as well as jersey sales. The club moved from the Rose Bowl to the soccer-specific Home Depot Center in 2002, and have been the one of the top-drawing teams in the league ever since. Their biggest rivalry game of the year comes when they face Chivas in the Honda Superclasico.
