Club History
Founded: 1996

Mile High Club, The ‘Pids
Stadium:
Invesco Field at Mile High, Denver, CO
History:
An original member of MLS, the Colorado Rapids have had little to celebrate in their 10-year history, except a lone MLS Cup finals appearance in 1997. The team has always been in the middle of the pack, and a succession of defense-minded coaches (Bobby Houghton, Glenn Myernick, Tim Hankinson) have not been able to make an impact in the high-flying Western Conference. Midfielder Paul Bravo retired in 2001 as the team’s all-time leading scorer with 39 goals.
All-time record (thru 2004):
W 101, L 115, D 58
Former players of note:
Marcelo Balboa, Shaun Bartlett, Roy Wegerle, Anders Limpar, Carlos Valderrama, Paul Bravo, Jon Spencer
