10. Gabriel Batistuta - 184 goals
Famously remembered by Manchester United fans as the one who got away, 'Batigol' is regarded as one of the most complete strikers to ever grace Serie A. He left Boca Juniors in 1991 to join Fiorentina and hit over 20 goals in six of his nine seasons with the Viola, resulting in a Capocannoniere award in 1995.
However, his burning ambition to win a major trophy saw him eventually join Roma in 2000, and he was vindicated as he lifted a Scudetto at the first time of asking. A loan stint at Inter followed three years later, but it paled into significance compared to his exploits in Tuscany and the Italian capital.
Batistuta also remains Argentina's all-time top scorer with 56 strikes in just 78 appearances, and to quote the great Diego Maradona: "He was the best striker we ever had here [in Argentina] and we're never going to see his like again. For me, he was the greatest goalscorer that I saw in my life."
