The Manchester United stars in the medal hunt
1. Anders Lindegaard
|APPEARANCES NEEDED FOR MEDAL... 2
Anders Lindegaard is the most likely out of the five to snatch a Premier League winners' medal with eight games under his belt already this season.
It could, though, have been so much more for the Dane.
Lindegaard racked up eight appearances last season as first-choice goalkeeper David de Gea struggled with the fast-paced and tougher nature of England's top flight, and retained a starting berth at the start of this term after the Spaniard was dropped following a couple of mistakes in a narrow 3-2 win over Fulham
The 29-year-old started the following four league games before De Gea was handed a reprieve and had to wait until November for another shot at the No.1 jersey when the former Atletico Madrid player was suffering from wisdom teeth trouble, but three quick-fire goals conceded against Reading in a 4-3 win saw him lose his place.
Then injury struck. A seemingly innocuous ankle knock during a January training session allowed De Gea to firmly cement his name on the team sheet and Lindegaard hasn't had a look in since.
However, with United no longer fighting on any fronts following their Premier League triumph, Sir Alex Ferguson is likely to afford Lindegaard at least two more games to secure a first ever winners' medal.
