Andres Iniesta celebrated his return to the Barcelona first-team by scoring in their 3-1 win over Mallorca.
Almeria coach Juanma Lillo has said that Iniesta is the best player of all because he exemplifies the collective work ethic of team play.

Iniesta debuted in the Primera Division in the 2002-03 season when Louis van Gaal was coach of the Blaugrana. Many came to know of him from his last second goal against Chelsea in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final last season, but the truth is that Iniesta far transcends that singular moment of glory, regularly shining brightest among the star-studded squads of both Barcelona and Spain.

He shares the pitch with players like Lionel Messi, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Xavi, Fernando Torres, David Villa, and David Silva, yet he remains a decisive player in the play of both teams.

As an international, he debuted under Luis Aragones on May 15, 2006 and was included in the 2006 World Cup squad in Germany.

His role in Spain’s South Africa squad is that of a starter and an integral member of the team. His skill on the ball, ability to dart past defenders, and clairvoyant passing make him an indispensable member of La Roja.
