One of the hardest-working members of the Bafana Bafana midfield, Dikgacoi is a dynamic centre man who often dictates the play in the middle of the pitch for South Africa, alongside Steven Pienaar. He seems to be having a tough time since his move to Fulham in England, and a lack of playing time counts against his preparations for Bafana’s assault on 2010.

Dikgacoi's versatility, aggression and invention have earned him admirers across South Africa since he burst onto the country's football scene in Golden Arrows colours. The move to England was expected to continue his improvement and development as a footballer, but he has been hampered by injury and lack of game time.

His physical strength and ball-winning ability give him an edge over other players in the midfield, and his natural confidence put him forward as one of the leaders in the squad. Dikgacoi briefly passed through the U-23 national side before being promoted to the senior team, where his value to the squad belies his relative lack of international experience. Despite the fact that he is a defensive midfielder by trade, he is also dangerous going forward on the odd occasion.
