Sulley Muntari - Ghana

The 26-year-old is one of the midfield mainstays of the senior national team. The central midfielder is versatile due to his ability to be a left winger at times. His foot produces powerful pile drivers and professional free kicks that result in important goals for his side.

Muntari came into the limelight during the 2001 FIFA World Youth Championship in Argentina. He is also a product of Liberty Professionals, a club that have carved a niche for themselves in fine tuning raw materials into productive footballers. The left-footer became a regular member of Ghana's U-20 team at the age of 16 as they finished runners-up at the 2001 FIFA World Youth Championship.

The Ghanaian international impressed during a trial session with top English club Manchester United but opted for Udinese in Italy.

Despite his intermittent brushes with football authorities both at the national and club levels, the Inter ace has remained a regular for the Black Stars and his team. He will be remembered for his refusal to apologise to coach Milovan Rajevac for skipping an international friendly against Angola in 2009 without permission. He was dropped from the squad to the last Nations Cup and made a return to the team after patching things up with the coach again.

Sulley has played for Liberty Professionals in Ghana, Udinese in Italy and Portsmouth in England.
