Wanyama thrilled after Tottenham Hotspur seal Champions League place

Victory Wanyama is delighted after Tottenham Hotspur sealed their Champions League spot for next season following a 1-0 victory over Newcastle United in Wednesday’s English Premier League game.

Harry Kane’s 50th-minute strike handed Mauricio Pochettino’s men victory over the Magpies which helped them secure a third spot in the log with 72 points from 37 encounters, four points clear of fifth-placed Chelsea.

And the Kenya international, who played a crucial role in the tie, has taken to the social media to applaud the feat.

“Huge win to seal Champions League spot,” Wanyama tweeted.

The 26-year-old has made 17 league appearances for Spurs this season involving seven starts, scoring once despite having to deal with injury problems.

Tottenham take on Leicester City in their last Premier League game on Sunday.
