The Cameroon international ended his nine-game barren spell in the Primeira Liga as the Dragons devoured Daniel Ramos’ side

Vincent Aboubakar opened his 2018–19 season goals account with a brace as Porto spanked Chaves 5-0  on Saturday.

The Cameroon international’s first half goals alongside Yacine Brahimi’s strike and efforts from Jesus Corona and Marius Mouandilmadji secured the massive win at Estadio do Dragao.

Prior to his five-star showing against Daniel Ramos’ men, Aboubakar has gone seven months without finding the net.

The 26-year-old powered in the curtain raiser after rounding off a defender before slotting the ball past goalkeeper Ricardo in the 14th minute.

Six minute later, he put the ball into an empty net after Brazil’s Otavio assist – as Chaves defenders were caught unawares.

Porto went into the half time break with a three-goal lead after Brahimi registered his name among the goalscorers after a one-two exchange with Aboubakar.

Corona and Mouandilmadji sealed the win in the second half as the Cameroonian was replaced in the 66th minute.

They lead the Primeira Liga log thanks to their superior goals as they face Belenenses in their next outing on August 19.
