VIDEO: De Bruyne falls victim of hilarious Man City rabona strike

Manchester City struck viral gold on Tuesday when Kevin De Bruyne got a face full of football taking part in social media filming in Abu Dhabi.

The Citizens are out in the Middle East for some post-season fun in the sun with YouTubers ChrisMD and Miniminter.

Belgian attacking midfielder De Bruyne was joined by fellow City stars Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling, and soon-to-be-leaving goalkeeper Willy Cabellero for fun training exercises.

The undoubted highlight of the filming came during a penalty challenge, when a rabona penalty hit the post before colliding with De Bruyne's face - unfortunate for the Belgian, but hilarious to Twitter users!

The footage is reminiscent of a classic Vine from Man City when one of their women's team players, Natasha Harding, got hit by a ball in the face when doing an interview for the club's website.

De Bruyne has been with Man City since joining from Wolfsburg two years ago for an estimated £55 million.

The 25-year-old scored seven times in 2016-17 compared to his 16 goals the previous season, however he bagged 18 assists in the Premier League alone.

That total is more than any other player in the English top flight last season, suggesting Pep Guardiola has purposefully tried to push De Bruyne towards playmaking rather than goalscoring.
